Had POG (passion fruit/orange/guava) Basement IPA at Tap on Ponce last night and it was out of this world. Not sure how long it's going to be around, but I can't recommend it enough. Got 2 crowlers for the weekend. Finally had Jia as well, and it was as good as expected. Hopefully this is our last bit of summer weather. So ready for it to cool back down.
Good to know. First time I've been to PCM in a while. Scofflaw continues to kill it, and it seems like they're ramping up production while still having great QC.
I like the new delta check in thing. I just don't like that it promotes Zone 4 idiots to get in line even before they start boarding first class.
Beltline Westside Trail opens tomorrow ~3miles from Washington Park to Adair Park. Can use Ashby and West End Stations to access it.
This is the 4th or 5th time they have had a chance to vote on it and they keep pushing it back. So we'll see
I asked a question then edited the post. The Westside trail is stupidly named. It isn't the western side if the trail, it is the literal southwest side. I thought your post was saying a new portion might be open that was just a path without concrete. Kind of like the southeastern trail was before they started working on it. I also thought the trail was already finished, I guess it wasn't "officially" opened
Yea, no it was not finished. It was just a trail without concrete until now. Over the past however many months they laid the concrete, finished the trail's construction, and now are officially opening it today. There actually had been a small section already opened, which may have been repurposed from another project, that was a completed paved trail along White Street.....from Whitehall Street all the way to Kroger at Ralph Abernathy (where Lean Draft House Beer Garden is). When I ran this in January, the Beltline stopped with construction signs and looked to be nothing more than a dirt path along the upper half. Here is where it roughly goes: Idk about your semantics naming rambling. Its just called the Westside trail; West being inclusive of Southwest. The next step is the trail from Washington Park to Bellwoods Quarry, which I believe is underway or close to it. I know they announced the Park's initial opening for early 2019 within the past few weeks.
Ah. I thought it was going through Adair Park to 85/75. I thought it didn't turn up north and cross 20.
They can either vote yes/no or push it back to the public safety review board or whatever it's called like they have done the previous few times. 1. Vote on it 2. Punt
Intown search continues. Would you rule out any of the following neighborhoods as either "too late" or otherwise bad long-term prospect? Reynoldstown Capitol View East Lake Ormewood Park Peoplestown West End Westview I feel like Reynoldstown, Ormewood, and West End are all in the "too late" category. No kids, no kids in the future, just need a 2/2 or 3/2 fixer up I can value-add and feel safe leaving my gf and dog there when I'm not around. Appreciation is a bonus, just trying to get close to downtown while trying to not overpay for the "it" neighborhoods.
West End, houses there I've seen are in the $200k+ because of it's proximity to the now opened beltline.
They have a lot if 3/2s the mid 300s now. BrickTamland Let me know if you need an agent. She lives in capital view and has a strong grasp on all the places you're looking. She's primarily a buyers only ageny. A previous ATL poster also used her and she got him a solid investment off a loft near ponce. Thinking moved to Denver
I'm starting to already see the neighborhood I've only been in for 1.5 years go through the renovate + flip and sell for way above asking price trend, so I kind of hate you all because we can't realistically buy for at least eight more months.
The city public safety council has approved the fine and decriminalizing it. I think this just happened I don't think they can punt it. I believe they have to vote on it
City public safety board just just like a committee of cops and citizens or something that give an opinion in a new ordinance. It just says they approved of the new decriminalization, nothing to do with a bite The city council are the people who approve the new ordinance and sent it to Kasim Reeds desk for signature
Help please: Looking for rental apts/houses in Atlanta for 3 days for NYE. Is air bnb the best option? Also, how much is an uber from the suburbs (15-20 minutes away) to the city?
How many ppl. Where do you plan on going. UberX can get you most anywhere for 15 bucks, but some burbs ain't close
5 people, but I haven't booked anywhere yet. Kinda weighing the options. It might be worth paying more to be in the city and save on uber rides, but I'm still doing research.
Y'all just here to party? Staying in town would be better and easier. W in midtown is only 200 a night so it's not super expensive.
