That's been a pretty big issue for a while. Atlanta has fucking awful billing. I know numerous ppl that have gotten random $1,500 bills. But most of them contest it vs not pay it. She just "paid" her normal amount each month
Lol my friend and I tried to sell our tickets when we found out it was an x ambassadors concert but no luck. We try to time it so we show up after the first opener, but we missed the first 8 PTM songs. Stayed for about 45 minutes and left before ambassadors came on. Fuck that place.
Daaaaamn that blows. I went only for PTM and they we're awesome. Stayed for most of X Ambassadors just for the hell of it and thought they we're pretty awful. Lead singer makes me cringe pretty hard.
I saw ptm at the masquerade a couple years ago and again at terminal west earlier this year, so I’m not too upset, but it blows buying a ticket and missing the only thing you wanted to see. I couldn’t bring myself to stay for any x ambassadors.
Probably the only time I'm glad I don't live in the city. They both seem awful and I'd have a hard time justifying voting for either.
I don't love Norwood but she has a diverse coalition of endorsements and Bottoms is mired in several potential scandals. I think it's a pretty easy choice between the two even if neither is ideal. Good thread:
Curbed Poll - most annoying user of the Beltline https://atlanta.curbed.com/2017/12/5/16738294/most-annoying-atlanta-beltline-patron-vote-now
Thought the oblivious powwow would be the obvious choice but I always hate the aggravated speed-bikers even more.
Oblivious pow wow for me... Hate it when there's a huge, slow-moving group taking up the entire path.
Going to be in Atlanta for a birthday next weekend. Any big events going on I should know about? Also, for dinner on a Saturday, is getting seated at the Staplehouse bar even a remote possibility? I'm sure we'd have to show up super early. Does that place live up to the hype? Other dinner options we're considering for Saturday: Bones Brush Izakaya omakase menu Miller Union BoccaLupo Any thoughts? Just going to be me and my gf so not necessarily looking for a 4 am night, but interested to know what the good neighborhoods are for the late 20s/30s crowd. Never really hung out in Atlanta before
I love all the places you listed. Staplehouse bar is going to be a crapshoot so I'd have a backup option. BoccaLupo is one of my favorite places in town, everything I've had there was fantastic. Miller Union is great as well. The other two are good meals but not anything you'll write home about.
Jesus, snow is actually starting to fall hard here in Doraville. Not sticking to the roads yet, but I'll likely pick the kiddo up early from daycare. My wife doesn't get off work until 7pm though so I hope the roads won't have ice on them by that point.
As a 2014 survivor....ur wife needs to get him before it's dark. This is eerily similar to Snowpocalypse 2014. Snows all day, doesn't stick bc just above freezing then night falls and we go below freezing and everything turns to shit
She works at a mental health facility with a hospital, I won't be surprised if they don't let her leave early.
We've got an inch accumulation on the roof and grass so far in East Lake, looks like a winter wonderland out there.
PARKING LOT out there. Most stressful 2 mile drive of my life taking the kiddo home from daycare, car skidded briefly a couple of times.
So I'm standing on my porch in Post Brookhaven Apartments smoking a cigarette and I see a Georgia Power truck roll by to the back of my building. I'm thinking that's weird the power isn't even out. I tell my girlfriend "They're are about to turn off our power and give it to a richer neighborhood" obviously just kidding as that makes no sense. Then the power goes off. I go outside and see two Georgia Power workers with some cones or some shit just kind of wandering around. They then get back in there truck and wait around for about 10 minutes and leave. Now I have no power. What in the actual fuck did I just witness?
Good chance they are shit. It's gonna freeze at 6pm and we're supposed to get another inch of snow over night. Not supposed to get above freezing until 9am
I'd suggest yes In town we got a decent amount of rains and it seemed to wash so.e if that slush away...so it might make everything better and less Ice on the road
Fuck. I'm up in Chattanooga and I think it is basically over for us. I was hopeful they would just be wet by noonish tomorrow
I tweeted at Georgia Power about it and my tweet was immediately deleted. I didn't even know that could happen.
