Can't wait for Hawkers Asian Street Fare on the beltline. One of the few Orlando based restaurants worthy of expansion.

Bully Boy is good. Bazati brunch can be good if - like a lot of those spots - the crowds arent suffocating.

just wish New Realm beers were even in the same ballpark as our other brewers. And theyd be willing to cut off braves games in lieu of better sporting events.

Pour on the Beltline is awesome. Self-serve taps, over 80 beers on tap, a shit load of tvs, indoor / outdoor seating, dogs allowed inside, has a dedicated counter to order Nina & Rafi’s directly.

Atlanta bro’s, taking a trip w/ the family (kids: 3/<1). Any tips, suggestions, or must see attractions? Good family friendly restaurants?

We will have a rental car and are willing to venture to locations within reasonable distances.

    Thanks in advance.

The zoo and aquarium are always good for kids, but they will be slammed now that school is out. The Children's Museum near Centennial Park is very awesome as well, but expensive (I think $20 per person), but something your 3 year old would probably love. The World of Coke might be interesting as well, but it's better for kids who I'd say at least 6 or 7. It's also just a huge advertisement and not something I recommend unless you're obsessed with Coca-Cola.

Normally you'd get about 20 recommendations within a half hour for food, but I don't think any of the ITPers that regularly post have kids. I'm way out in the suburbs now, but most non-super expensive restaurants say in midtown usually are fine for kids. It depends on what you and your wife like as well, something like Der Biergarten might be kind of cool for your 3 year old since they have a patio area. There's a million restaurants that I'm sure other posters could speak too, but since you'll be with your family you could check out the Decatur Square since there are lots of families in that area.

Last night we did a wine flight at Vinoteca, dinner at Bully Boy and a nightcap at Bazati with live music outside. That whole area has come so far from when I first moved here in 2009

I take my 3 and 5 year old niece and nephew to antico. It's great pizza and they like it because they can watch the entire process of the pizza being made. Also has a bunch of different flavors of Gelato.

I think people here hate the Varsity but I love it and think it's really good if you keep it in perspective... It's fast food. But it's loud and busy and kid friendly. Close to Coke and the Aquarium as well.

Vinoteca is great but parking on N Highland is such a mess (compounded by fucking Uber’s stopping in the road) that I usually buy my wine from Savi or Ansley Wine Mart. Savi has an insanely impressive selection that’s reasonably priced considering how much everything else there costs.

We live over by Ansley Wine Mart and were saying they should do some kind of tasting room like Vinoteca. They have a ton of room and too many wine bottles and random beers. With the beltline behind that shopping center getting paved soon there will be a need for places people can pop in and grab a drink.

We only Lyft down to Inman, it's too much of a hassle otherwise

My wife used to live in North Highland Steel and I lived in Midtown, so when we moved in together we split the difference and went with O4W. Only bad part about Inman is that it’s only going to get more and more expensive.

I remember doing the Inman beer fest in 2010 or 2011 and the neighborhood was kind of run down and my buddy, who works at Roark, introduced me to his coworker who had recently started making beer in his garage as Monday Night Brewing. Crazy how things have changed. That guy worked at Roark and did Monday Night on the side while personally guaranteeing a 7 figure loan to expand. Glad it worked out

I lik summer fest but it is somehow the hottest day of the year every single time. Each year summer fest stretches the limits of how much sweat my balls can produce. Just throw on a pair of old underwear because they're going straight in the outside trash when I get home

I randomly played golf at Cherokee Run today with Asa Hutchinson, the governor of Arkansas, and his son. We got paired up with them and had no idea until the 14th hole or so when he asked what I did for work. Just being polite I asked what he did in Arkansas and he said "I'm the governor" very nonchalant. I was a little high so I made him repeat it just to be sure. Super nice guy but a slow/mediocre golfer

That's not nearly as bad as people driving around trying to find a parking spot that doesn't exist. Aside from cost that seems like the only downside to the area.

Candler Park Music Festival has a good lineup. Going for the first time this weekend. Big fan of the Trampled by Turtles and Greensky Bluegrass.

Think I'll like that way better than Summer Fest -- which I'm not a big fan of at all.

Doing Trey Anastasio at the Tabernacle Friday/Saturday. Going to try to get a hike in Saturday morning even if it’s just at Cascades-Whitewater. A bunch of friends are going to Manny’s for the UCL, but they’re all Liverpool so I’ll likely pass.

    Should be a great weekend.
