People hated him for that too. Republicans who didn't vote in their primary were encouraged to vote against him.
Republicans are an extreme minority of Fulton County. To suggest that the handling of Brooks is why he lost is creating a false narrative.

I'm always in awe of how awful Chuck and Chernoff is. The fact that they have the 3-7 time slot in a major city like Atlanta is just amazing. Matt is just as boring on twitter too.
It doesn't help that there isn't much to talk about in sports right now. I mean compared to May or June there's a ton of stuff but still.
I think their show is a good representation of the typical Atlanta fan: 75% entertainment, 25% sports.
I interned at 790 in college and at 680 right out of college, when they took Buck and Kincade’s afternoon drive slot. Los is a friend of mine and all around good dude. Both Matt and Chuck were always nice guys, but Matt is the lowest-common-denominator-Barrett-Sallee type in terms of opinions. Chuck is big draw for that station. His football fanaticism and knowledge are nuts, especially for a guy that’ll tell you that baseball is his first love. The part I always find maddening about the Atlanta sports radio market is the same hosts just recycle themselves across the two stations. There’s no new blood, almost ever. Matt, Chuck, Buck, Kincade, Steak, Dimino, Cellini, Mike Bell etc. have been the same guys at 680, 790, etc. for decades.

Food was excellent but service was mediocre. Reservation at 8, table not ready until 8:30 so we got a drink at the bar and the bartender messed up the order. Our waiter brought 2 of the wrong appetizers but they were really good so we just went with it. Weird experience overall but damn good food
Steak’s voice, the fact that he goes by Steak, makes me think he is the worst. But ya, they’re all terrible.

New Grindhouse in Brookhaven is legit. They just opened the upstairs patio on Wednesday. Food is just as good but the huge upstairs patio and bar with TVs actually playing sports puts it over the top. You have to be 21 to go upstairs which I like.
