probably about what the other 3 or 4 were like saw some restaurants are having to close bc they had moved to outdoor seating setup. Sucks. We need a bailout bill for Bars, Restaurants, etc. Getting clobbered this year.
Believe it's gonna be windy as fuck. 40mph+ for a while. Biggest issue is that it rained a fuck load earlier this week. So the soil is loose and trees will fall
Really hasn’t rained appreciably in the past week except the 24th when the USGS Gage at Peachtree Creek recorded just over 2”. High winds suck though...glad I’m not around any pines.
Yeah I got more than 2 inches Saturday. Either way the ground is saturated from recent rain, which was my point
Another vote for Big Dave’s here, although Fred’s is also quite good. The only negative on Big Dave’s is the wait if you go during peak hours - I’ve been to their downtown location and their old gas station spot in Dunwoody/Doraville and the whole process has been 60-75 minutes at times.
No power in 30328 and the giant limb that almost took out my house has been cut up enough to get out of my driveway
This guy is a liar! I’ve had power all morning, although all the lights on Glen Iris and Boulevard are out
We wanted Oakhurst/East Lake. In normal social times we gravitate that direction towards Decatur rather than towards Candler Park, westward. Never knew Id like this part of Dekalb so much. Always figured I would ultimately end up in Westend/Westview/Oakland City....or just EAV/Ormewood...but this area fucks.
In Edgewood w/ power & internet. Wife's boss is in Candler Park and has no power or internet and might be coming over to work this afternoon if it doesn't come back.
The wind last night was loud as fuck. Could hear it swirling all around. Probably had 1,000 pecans and acorns fall on our house.
Weird enough I never lost power. My internet cuts out every three days for no reason and somehow it's also fine. Bizarro world.
Yeah mine went out around 1pm today and hasn't come back yet. Had power the entire time, just shitty phone hot spot right now
Got this big ass limb chainsawed and stacked on the curb. Anyone ever used a tree/debris removal service they recommend?
Nope, just yard bags that the city takes away. Looks like Verizon is launching it's 5G home internet service next week in parts of Atlanta.
We got ours back around 6 so not too bad. Also, they're definitely making it a thing, could be up to 10 flags on front porches by 2025
Looking to get some oysters (in shell) for a roast this weekend. Is my best bet BHFM/YDFM? I know Whole Foods and Atlanta Fish Mkt have them but I assume I’d be paying a premium there.
Yea Id think Buford would be your best bet for value. I always pay a premium and this may be too far for you, but Ive done Kimball House togo several times this summer. They have some good ones from Bayou La Batre, some Ga ones, Hog Island San Fran, and your more traditional locales.
Not an oyster guy but have you checked the place next to Highland tap? Blanking on the name right now
