This was several years ago and we haven't been back. 100% their drinks and bar are fantastic. Miss the old irish pub though. Wanna try Polo Loco as his IG is awesome.
How is Mix'd up burgers? Saw it on an eater list of good food with a drive through. Drive through would be clutch right now with a two year old and newborn.
They are kinda like vortex. Not really excellent burgers like argosy or H&F. But an absurdly rich, heavy, huge portion that is still good
Wife and I are moving to west midtown so we’re trying to do a last hurrah of some of our favorite Inman Park/Old 4th Ward spots. We’ve done Ammazza and Glide, Ruby Chows, A Mano, Sotto Sotto, Highland Bakery, and we’re getting Rina tonight. Anyone got any other suggestions?
Ive had all the sandwiches from Victory but finally tried to pimento cheese dip and my lord it is amazing. A must order.
South City Kitchen last night for the first time with wife's freshman year roommate from UGA and her husband. First time, very good and I also enjoyed One Midtown Kitchen and Two Urban Licks.
I think you missed the discussion recently where we talked about how far downhill Jacks has unfortunately gone
No longer a hood rat below Memorial in unincorporated South DeKalb, aging is tough. Youngest people in the neighborhood so feels like we moved into my wife's parents hood. At least we can still look down on Dunwoody and have our own White House.
LOVED Oakhurst market when I lived there. Scout was pretty meh but never went for brunch. Poor Hendrix down the street is great and the corner coffee shops basil lemonade.
What's y'all's favorite pizza place these days? Going to grab some tomorrow and don't feel like the authentic stuff which is normally my go to. Edit: going to try glide.
What are you guy's thoughts on Colony Square? I started working in midtown and walked over there for lunch today. I liked it, especially the huge outdoor big screen.
Went to Tiny Lou’s for the first time last night. The food was mostly good with a few meh components. Staff had the best mask discipline I’ve seen during the pandemic but the service was a little slow (they seemed understaffed), which is understandable. I also think our original waiter got fired mid-shift.
Ended up getting poco loco at like 9 and didn't get the pizza. Will definitely try it soon. Poco loco was greaf. Edit: also drove by Das bbq. Holy shit that space is amazing. Massive patios.
Dad’s staying at the Omni downtown for a couple days this week. Wants to go eat somewhere walkable from his hotel. What are my best options?
Albert would be one of my first stops, I'd order a burrito from El Tesoro (Not Inman or O4W, but still close), and then I also really, really enjoy both Watchman's and Ticonderoga. My wife would make me go to Grindhouse as well, so any of the restaurants on Memorial might work? Wonder Kid, Home Grown, Grindhouse, and Supremo Taco.
Judging by friends trajectory you are about 4 years away from moving to Woodstock. So you are almost dead.
Max's pizza is pretty good and Twin Smokers has solid BBQ but may still be closed. Park Bar is decent bar food nearby.
Big fan of what they are doing on Upper Westside. Top golf was always there but there are some good breweries and they just opened a massive Fox Brothers at the works. Great area to spend a day imo.
Really like the area but that Howell Mill traffic is brutal. I assume people who live over there have a workaround of some sort
