Great food and cocktails in a high end setting with staff wearing flannels. Wes Anderson vibes. Not pretentious. Bar space reminded me of Simon and the Whale.
Definitely similar vibes. It does strike that balance of high end offerings without service pretensions. Perfect for the Atlanta demo/vibe
We're approaching a full year on the permitting process to expand our driveway. Anyone know if you can still bribe one of these dickheads or did that end with Reed?
The 1st company we had quote it said "we'll just do it on a Saturday, they won't give a shit." A wise man.
This is what my neighbor did for the driveway skirt. Some guys came early Saturday and tore it up then a dude parking the wrong way dropped off some concrete. Several cops and water dept vehicles passed but no one stopped to ask any questions.
Our tree guy did something similar. He permitted 2 dead trees and got the yard sign from the city then took down a big pine leaning toward our house that he said would've taken a couple months to permit otherwise
Wife and I jumped out on the belt line yesterday around 3 to walk the dogs. That brief window of 75 and sunny was glorious, especially knowing what was coming this weekend
Pine Street in Avondale is hit or miss but they freeze a lot of their inventory which is a no for me Spotted Trotter used to be best but they mailed it in. Moved. Made a ton of money. Now sell out quickly and are sorta dicks whenever you go into their new location.
Its phenomenal its sorta like the original H&F days where they had limited supply. Except morning versus night. They have Argentine cuts of meat that most places dont stock. Most of all they are nice.
Evergreen is fantastic. Great meat selection and solid pastries. Midtown Butcher Shoppe is close so you can swing by after your happy hour at The Ivy Menelaus
evergreen is co-owned by a lassiter grad, so it's nice to have a little bit of east cobb in the neighborhood.
i feel like buford hwy has to have some fantastic butcher shops east cobb probably also has some good sourcing for kosher folk
oddly enough I haven’t found one. The Buford Highway farmers market meat section is pretty good, but not great. kinship in Virginia highlands is good too.
Wish evergreen didn't have the line they do. But their stuff is phenomenal Haven't been since they moved, but what have they mailed it? Not producing a bunch if stuff?? New location just seems annoying to get to.
New cocktail bar opening on Moreland/Boulevard in the old Hodgepodge coffee spot called Whoopsies. It's from the dude who did Octopus Bar. Apparently, they serve prime rib, which I like. Excited for it.
Not the best for big cuts or anything but Patak Meats in Austell is the by far best for cured stuff and sausages.
