Got both nights of MMJ in November. Gonna be a pretty busy summer/fall Dead & Co Pixies Phish x2 Govt Mule Death Grips RTJ x2 MMJ x2 Also trying to get Arctic Monkeys and The Cure tickets. Still super bummed I'll be out of town and miss LCD and Idles.
Hanging out on the beltline next to the DJ over by the o4w skatepark has to be one of the best things this city has to offer.
Got two extra tickets for wood brothers at the eastern tonight if anyone’s interested. Also, first time visiting imaginarium. First beer going down good.
Wanted to go to this and totally forgot. haven’t had much luck finding a ticket for tonight at a decent price.
Same as Shaky Knees, the entrance is on private property and that technically makes the entire festival ‘private land’ making the gun law not applicable.
Wanted to go to that last night but had prior obligations. There were a few guys I follow on IG there, and they seem like cool dudes. Hoping to run into them tonight, but I'm going with a neighbor who can't leave until later and doubt we'll get there in time for a stroll through shakedown.
Yeah I would have liked to meet the guys behind NolaDead, I have a bunch of his stuff and holy moly mischief
Going to the show tonight, parking is included with the ticket, right? Haven’t been able to find anything online
I don't think so, unlike Ameris where parking is usually included with all tickets. I haven't been to Lakewood in 10+ years but there should be plenty of parking around and I read there are some free lots - just not sure where they are. Shakedown is happening around gate 4, which is on the SE side of the venue.
Has anyone had breakfast at b-side in Decatur? Menu looks incredible and the guy just won a James Beard award. It's basically just breakfast at the deer and the dove I guess.
Saw an extreme Buckhead Betty moment yesterday. Stopped at the Publix off Peachtree and this older woman stopped a police officer walking in and said “god bless you for being here. Thank you so much”. Noted center of crime: Publix in Buckhead
Anyone gone to the IMAX at Mall of Georgia in Buford? Debating making the trip out there to catch Oppenheimer in 75mm.
I really like the new orthotics you got her. She styled them well. The “BACK THE BLUE” shirt was a bit much, though.
I was debating the same. I saw Hateful Eight in 70mm and it was really cool. I saw some graphic that it's best to have seats in the middle of theater for this experience (might be BS) and the only times with decent seats left are 11pm. That'd have me home about 3am at earliest so probably a no for me. 70mm movies have no previews at least.
Wanted to post it here, but some white chick on TikTok did a "description of neighborhoods" in Atlanta. 1st thing was "anything south of 20 you don't want to be here". Of course she got to Buckhead and was "This is where I live" smh
Really just dates that were convenient to me but I checked most for that first week. You can purchase weeks out so I'd look to see what's good for you. Unfortunately with kids 10am Saturday/Sunday doesn't work for me but might be good seats for those first or last showings.
Same, but they gave us a free ticket that I don't think I ever used. Wonder what the odds I can dig it up for this one are...
That's awesome. I was bored Sunday so went out on an hour and a half bike ride. Dekalb getting repaved is a huge plus and will be nice when they have some dedicated bike lanes. Worked through Candler Park and over to PCM, then rode the Beltline down to Glenwood. Beltline is really nice and the Trees growing in has covered some sections making it pretty sweet. I hadn't been south of Krog St Tunnel yet, but that section is pretty nice too and tons of development all through Reynolds town there. Whatever that steel plan on Wylie is looks to be really nice. Hopefully I will not be a cripple when this is eventually completed. I'd love to be able to get to west end easily. It's just 2 hills on Hosea then flat. All the development and activity on it is pretty sick. Wish I had that when I was 23 vs the old Buckhead bars. RIP LuLus and Makos
They're doing a really nice job over here on the east side trail connecting piedmont park to Armour. Tons of trees, new lighting etc and they finally fixed that rickety ass bridge behind Ansley Mall
had to drive down to Fayetteville today and stopped at the Fun Spot to ride their new roller coaster - if you are ever in the area it's a must do. Far and away better than anything at Six Flags.
Made Bacchanalia reservations this morning for my wife’s 40th in August. Footing the bill for 6 total. I’m thinking $1500.
