well this storm was very disappointing I don't eat out very often but when I do I almost always go to one of the many incredible Asian spots around Allston/Fenway. If you haven't been, try Brown Sugar Cafe on Comm Ave right by BU. And then up the road a bit right by my place is Ittoku also, the wings at Rock City Pizza on Cambridge St So #blessed to be within a few minutes walk from there
it seems like the suburbs and outer neighborhoods have way better food than boston itself which is disappointing. thats pretty much the one thing that philadelphia has blown boston out of the water on so far
just went on my daily lunch walk. There are girls decked out in anime costumes all over Newbury St, Copley Square and the Prudential Center. I guess some anime convention is being held at Hynes
looking forward to my first Boston Marathon. Weather looks like it'll suck but I am still gonna go post up on Beacon St. I love how everything (aside from bars/restaurants) pretty much just shuts down around here for the Marathon/Patriot's Day went to the Yanks/Sox games the past couple nights and man that really reinforced why I like living here so much. Such an awesome atmosphere

I have a buddy that is talking to this girl that lives in Boston and he is trying to get me to come up for 4th of July through the following weekend. I have never been to Boston and know basically nothing. I'm starting my research now. It'll most likely be about 4 single guys in their mid 20's going. I need some of the following suggestions. 1. Where we should stay (most likely getting an airbnb) 2. Are there any events or anything for the 4th of July we should hit? 3. Food suggestions. Anything/everything. We will probably get one nice dinner as well. 4. Bar suggestions. 5. Touristy/shit to do during the days. Any help is appreciated.

The bars above are all really cool 5: Tourist things to do during the day - whale watching tour through Boston Harbor Cruises (it would take up about 3.5 hours of your time but on a nice day be sooo worth it) - Museum of Fine Arts and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum - Freedom Trail - walk from where Newbury St meets Mass Ave by Berklee down to the Public Garden. That's a grand stroll with some cool churches and architecture to check out. And it puts you in an awesome place to sit and relax for a bit after a nice walk
another suggestion, kayak on the Charles River. If the weather is nice, that is one of the best urban kayaking settings around with the views you get of the skyline and your proximity to the Harvard/MIT/BU campuses as you go. The Colonnade Hotel on Huntington Ave is where all the flight attendants from Icelandair stay. Their lobby will always have a group of them waiting to head over to Logan around 6:30 in the evenings. So if you get a chance, hit up the rooftop pool around noon or 1 PM on a really nice day
Coming into town for the Miami game. Who’s got lunch/dinner spots for Ryan Mallett? Looking for places in both Chestnut Hill and Boston. Friday night a nice bar/restaurant type place before the game in Chestnut Hill. For Saturday in Boston I believe we’re trying to do some sort of seafood for lunch around the Wharf, and then something more Italian for dinner.
