Every now and again, it's a little on-the-nose to rope his thought process into the current sociopolitical landscape but overall, this is a way more likely outcome for a Superman-like entity(particularly from Homelander's origin) than actual Superman.
2 things 1. love the teasing of A-Train turn into a decent guy, only to sell out supersonic to get back in homelander’s good graces 2. intrigued to see how they play Homelander not lasering the fuck out of Stan, basically proving the point he was making to Homelander’s face
This week is supposed to include a character or event named Herogasm and it appears the comic readers are very excited. i can only imagine.
So evidently all the people that hero worshipped Homelander on the The Boys subreddit are up in arms because they’re just now realizing he’s the villain.
Lol he fucking murders the Baltimore politician and his kid in the first episode how could anyone think that?
In the comics, Herogasm is basically a supe hedonism. They all vacation together and have an orgy. Hence this tweet:
Got Covid on a work trip last week and just spent the last 4 days watching every episode of this show in my pjs Butcher is the best TV character I’ve seen in years. I loved this shit and I’m hyped for tomorrow
Best episode yet, imo. Spoiler Thoughts: - I like how Soldier Boy is basically a reflection of the entire US military industrial complex. From the aspect of not giving af about collateral damage, lack of foresight regarding how intervention will pan out long-term (confused by mujahedeen being the bad guys now), the "don't get in my way" mentality, and even the veteran who has become forgotten by his country - they're doing a really good job with him. - The Deep cracks me tf up. - A-train killing blue hawk in a similar manner that southern racists used to kill little black boys was a fitting death. -Fight scene was awesome. Was interesting to see Homelander physically vulnerable and I laughed hard af when Hughie showed up butt ass naked. -Mother's Milk and Annie are amazing.
Great episode. Overall the episode was tamer than I expected but still pretty wild compared to what is usually in TV
I honestly expected more out of the herogasm. Episode one had a guy crawl into the dick of his partner. This seemed tame by comparison.
Spoiler So Soldier Boy is definitely Homelanders dad right? They dropped two little lines about Soldier Boy having a few kids and then at Herogasm Soldier Boy said a supe named Liberty is the mother? Spoiler
Just finished. The orgy sure wasn’t as crazy as they hyped up. Great episode overall. Annie looks different this season? Botox?
No, he said he wanted 2 boys. I’m not ruling out the possibility but so far as we know, Homelander came from a test tube.
Her mouth looked like Superman’s mouth in the Justice League reshoots where they digitally removed his mustache. It’s really fucking weird looking.
