Still hope we take Dameon Pierce in the 4th (assuming he's still there).

Also, I'm really glad that this takes us out of the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes.

Pierce in the 4th would be a nice pickup although his 40 is concerning. Are they expecting him to be available then?

What are everyone’s thoughts on Fournette? Personally, I’m fine with not bringing him back and think getting Barkley on at least a 1 year rental would be insane. He would be incredible in this offense.

most things I've seen have him as an early day 3 pick, so who knows.

40 time is fine for a rotational back, plus he's got a pretty well rounded game and a lot of tread on the tires thanks to lack of use by stupid Mullen.

That'd be pretty nice. Didn't even know that was a possibility.

He’s allegedly available via trade, partially due to salary reasons. His 5th year option will be a pretty hefty number.

I have absolutely no interest in barkley. He's going to demand a big number and he just gets hurt too often.

It was inevitable. The question was just whether or not it would be Bowles or Leftwich.

Feels like the best choice. This gives BL a year of full control with a good offense as an audition for next year's cycle and TB was due another shot.

Does make me wonder if this was discussed or even negotiated with brady behind the scenes prior to his return.

Also, I know Bucs history isn't exactly littered with superstars, but are there any glaring omissions from our ROH?

Gotta think Gene Deckerhoff gets put in next year after he retires. Maybe Warrick Dunn?

Don't know how I forgot Simeon Rice. He should be in the HoF, let alone the Bucs RoH. Similar numbers to Michael Strahan overall and more consistently dominant at his peak. He's already in if he played in a larger market.

that shit was just butt hurt patriots fans throwing shit at the wall

I fully believe Tom wanted to play in SF. But that was before he signed in 2020 with the bucs. He was never going to a new team at 45 years old to start over again. The dolphins stuff was just lol level dumb

Wouldn’t be shocked if some health stuff comes out soon on arians

When you think about it, it probably makes a good bit of sense for BA (or any successful coach) to retire sometime between now and the draft if they want to ensure franchise stability and set their replacement up for success. It gives enough time to allow the appearance of stability for replacing staff after the season and signing the first wave of Free Agents. Of course, stability at QB (and it being Brady) is what brought a lot of those FAs back in the first place as well.

In any case, you're not going to find too many other examples of a coach being set up for success to the degree that Todd Bowles was. Only thing not in his favor is our brutal schedule.

Good podcast on conspiracy theories. It insinuates there was a connection between Brady and the Dolphins, and this scenario ultimately fell apart with the Flores suit claiming Dolphins leadership wanted him to tamper with a QB (Brady since named). They address other aspects of the whole situation. Like any conspiracy theory, you can blur lines/squint and sort of see the pieces connect but who really knows. Reality is likely more boring.

Well the draft was mostly unexciting for us, which I guess can happen when your needs are at some of the least sexy positions. But I'm sure we have a future starter/replacement at DT, OG, TE, & P ( but Pinion sucks and I guess this saves us some cap room so whatever). Plus I'm interested to see what McCollum can bring considering his insane athletic testing.

But the pick I was most surprised by was Rachaad White. This was largely due to who was left on the board and me not really seeing his name mentioned much. But the more I look in to him, the more of a fit I think he is for what we do on offense. Really hoping it pans out. I just saw this video about him which was made before the draft. Talk about an unconventional path to being drafted to the NFL.

I just fear that White is another example of Licht thinking he’s smarter than everyone else when it comes to drafting RBs. His track record there is abysmal. Hope I’m wrong.
