I'm betting he gets one simply because it'll be difficult to find someone better in FA and we'll still need the depth should we draft a replacement.
Edit: We can always pray that Smith tries to test the market first and some other stupid team offers him more $ and signs him away.
Jameis trying to be a leader. No one ever says shit when this is Brady or other QBs in the league. Why is this made into a deal?
His OC had to be held back from going after him on several occasions. So weird that Oregon fans troll this thread 4 years later. Let it go man
You troll every thread where the team employs an idiot or just this one? It was 4 years ago, time to move on bud
Nope, just fighting with his coach which is not uncommon either. Do you not watch much football? Hell, Peyton almost got his ass beat by an OL and had to be pulled away by another one before Saturday whooped his ass
I’ve seen people on twitter and other outlets talking about it. Just dumb it’s football happens all the time
No point in engaging him dude is clearly just stirring the pot or has never played on a competitive team before. This happens at some point in every locker room, sideline or meeting room in the country when your playing at this high a level.
When Koetter gates axed in a few weeks who do you guys want to replace him? I haven't seen many names floated so far
SPIN IT. I played football and baseball through HS, I understand things get heated and im not saying this is a HUGE deal. But, its not a good look and despite what you guys are saying an OL wanting to put hands on his QB is not a very common occurrence and is objectively not good.
The prase “put hands on” is incredibly dumb and presumptuous. If what’s-his-nuts wanted to “put hands on” Jameis, he could have. At worst, dude put his finger in Jameis’ face.
I've seen Peter Carmichael (Saints OC), Josh McDaniels, and Lincoln Riley mentioned. Doubt any of them are options. Before he gets brought up, Mike McCarthy gets a big hell no from me. If he can't consistently win with the best QB in football, he's not gonna do anything here.
That's my main concern. There's really not anyone I've heard as a realistic option that's exciting. Sadly I'm starting to wonder if a full year with Duffner/Monken in control and Dirk as the CEO might be our best bet especially considering how bad the Glazers are at hiring
Well I watched the first half of the game last night and the D looked good. Not sure what else you need to look at.
Maybe if koetter or the organization had the balls to fire mike Smith earlier this season or even last offseason things would be different. Defense has really played well since Smith got the axe. Still need some pieces on that side of the ball though. And a run game
Need safety (could’ve easily had Derwin) and some DBs. DL and LB (when healthy) are set. Sticking with Smith this year killed the season on D
Not that this will come as a surprise: https://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bucs...job-would-be-among-least-attractive-openings/
Only if he agrees to do what he did with the Raiders and trade away our previous 1st rd picks. Preferably the ones from 2016 and 2018
