I'm 2 episodes in and already more intense feels than Making a Murderer. All about suspects who are coaxed into giving confessions to crimes that they seem to have not committed. First 2 episodes focus on one case while I think the last 5 are all individual cases. Very well done, highly recommend.
Watching it. The first one was tough. Felt like that was an injustice. They even had an alibi. Hard for me to understand why the third episode guy confessed when he didn't do it. Then he plead guilty for time served when he was essentially exonerated but I guess he wanted to put it behind him.
That first one is flat fucking disgusting. I can't even understand how shit like that happens in this country so often. Our justice system is just awful.
im halfway through ep 2 and wtf are the cops doing filming 19 year olds drinking beer and calling that a confession?
yeah but the Judge allowed it in. Canadians were within their right to do that bullshit. Manipulative/Coercive tactics, within reason, are allowed. Even here. Not defending those cops, but I'm way more mad at the appeals court/Judge.
they were about to retry him, that plea was credit for time serve. Case over. He confessed because he was coerced the first time. Once he accepted it, it was too late and he went with it. He took that role. Also only talking about a week span.
I'm three episodes in and this has me a lot more upset than "Making A Murderer" did. The case with the two kids from Canada is utterly ridiculous on so many levels. On top of that, can we please do something about shitty ass juror members thinking it's funny to put away two dudes for the rest of their lives. She's so caught up in remembering the fact that one of the smug attorneys looked handsome. That she doesn't even question the methods used in convicting the two dudes. Like get fucked Lady.
