Well idk this kid but hes the right size and position so ill take him if the front office believes in him
Just watched his tape and he looks good. Great size and very athletic. Love how he flies off the edge to hit the QB. Marinelli loves that stuff. Would like to see a few more picks but he has all the tools. 4.43 at his size is great
So our defense this year will add Jaylon Smith, Taco and this kid from CO. Not a bad set of additions IMO
Hoping the pick up Fred Ross in the late rounds. Him and dak had a great connection in college and I think he would be a solid compliment WR.
Now that we have secured major positions of need i say we take a fuckin gamble and get Dede Westbrook. Has he been accused multiple times of domestic violence? Yes. Can the boy fuckin play? Fuck yes.
I'm not saying he's the best wr out there to take. I would just love for him and dak to keep playing together plus they already have the chemistry.
Would love to somehow be able to get Howard Wilson out of Houston. Not the biggest guy, but he can flat out play the corner position.
Yo for real I am stoked about Jourdan Lewis. A few quick tidbits. First off: in the last 2 years people have tried 57 passes of 20 yards or more against Lewis in coverage. They came away with 7 total completions while Jourdan got 6 ints In all, opposing QBs have a 31 rating against this dude. Hes a beast. Also, this
Kiper likes their draft. Dallas addressed its biggest need on Day 2, taking cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie (No. 60) and Jourdan Lewis (No. 92). Awuzie is the best tackling corner in this draft and Lewis is one of the best true cover guys. Lewis dropped because of a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence, for which he pleaded not guilty last month.
Give it a couple years and Brown, Awuzie, and Lewis could be a hell of a trio of cornerbacks with Jones playing safety. Like the Taco pick as well. Helps that Lewis could replace Whitehead in the return game as well. Need to look to get a box safety/dime db, WR, nose tackle, and offensive tackle the rest of the way IMO.
Also from McShay - Best overall Day 2 Dallas Cowboys Chidobe Awuzie, CB, Colorado; Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan (pick Nos. 60 and 92) Lewis is maybe the best value pick in this entire draft. I had him ranked No. 35 overall and the Cowboys snagged him midway through the third round. Both Lewis and Awuzie landed on my 2017 All-Tape Team, and they fill big needs in the secondary for the Cowboys, who let Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne leave in free agency. They're also two of the best cornerbacks in this class against the run. Awuzie shows very good awareness in zone coverage, which makes him a good fit for Rod Marinelli's Cover 2 scheme in Dallas. I understand why Lewis fell to the third round with off-field issues lingering, but he's one of the most instinctive corners I've studied in years. He has an uncanny ability to read receivers and anticipate their breaks.
We do need a good return guy. I just dont trust Lucky's ball security (despite his amazing snapchatting ability). At this point if the front office thinks thats the guy, I am down. Cole can teach him the way of the white boy
Front office has been killing the draft recently. Obviously we need to see if all these guys pan out but as far as addressing positions of need this is a home run
I like what we did. We needed DL, Dbs, and wrs. Also got help in the return game. Only complaint was not grabbing a TE, but we could also make a move before camp in FA. Still some quality players out there.
That's a thought as well, of course I'm not around the program. I hope we sign a FA at DE, DT, and kick the tires on a couple of FA at LB. I hope we are on the phone with dickhead from Clemson. I hated him there but would take him on our defense.
UDFA names so far: QB Cooper Rush Central Michigan RB Jahad Thomas Temple LB Lucas Wacha Wyoming WR Brian Brown Richmond

I think we should have went Cutrer over White, Zamora over Brown. That DT from Florida and DE/DT from Colorado were real head scratchers. Doubt they make the team.
