Back in My Day Looks Like Game Ron Roy's Realm is good and all but put Roy's Top 10 on that list and I'm keeping it
Depends on your taste for what era of show you enjoy. I would say it's more of the same but a little more of them being themselves. About 5000% more cursing though. It's gotten to the point I don't want to listen with my little kids in the car. But your taste of the new show may depend on how much you like the new faces. Witty, Smetty, more Amin and without the ESPN favorites like Mina and Pablo and Tim.
What’s the end game spence? Seriously, no clue. But that tweet has the lebatard account tagged and lebatard retweeted it.
reading between the lines from her content I'm pretty sure her contract wasn't renewed, but she also wasn't happy with how things were going at the company either. her late night show was cancelled, which was why she got the big contract in the first place, her podcast doesn't really get promoted, and they nuked Highly Questionable which was her only real TV hits anymore. I love her, so I'm hopeful Meadowlark finds a role for her even if it isn't on the main show.
I like Katie but they cant hire everyone that ESPN gets rid of. That Draft Kings money will be gone before you know it. They need to start building a brand with the personalities they already have on staff.
They’ve already announced 6 more podcasts and a content agreement with BBC… and they have a bunch more investors than DraftKings.
I’m still very confused about what DraftKings gave them 50 million for. Is that just for the few ad spots a day or something else?
They also have the rights to sell ads on the shows. Basically DK handles their sales and marketing for them I think
Amin, Haberstroh, and Kate Fagan. This is there website right now. Outside of podcast and Youtube I have no way of checking up on whats going on with the company. What new shows are being created, personalities, etc. They need to start building the brand of those that they have now before adding more talent imo. Outside of the show crew and Amin I really don't know how to find anyone else that works for them like the black chick (I forget her name) or anyone else. Also god bless Dan and Mike because those dudes have been grinding with all these game post game streams etc, but it has to start moving beyond that core.
They’ve put out some press releases and gotten some media coverage. The new podcast lineup that’s coming and the BBC deal can be found on their LinkedIn page. Most of them haven’t started yet, they’re building out producers and scheduling now. They’ve mentioned that briefly on the show.
Yeah I saw it on their LinkedIn but the first place people go to get info on a company is usually going to be that companies website. Also all these new things I think only one of them has started the college football show. So I'd rather they get some of these projects off the ground before bringing in someone else. Maybe I'm wrong and you have to just take a "always keep accumulating talent" approach and figure out what to do with them later
they've raised a ton of money, not sure they're in a rush on some of those things, think Skipper wants to strike deals and build roster over rolling stuff out too fast. I think most here just want to see Katie land there for personal reasons because we like her, but she does have a built in audience. plus I trust them to actually use her correctly.
I mean who did ESPN dump not just former ESPN people. Amin ran away as fast as he could. But really you have to think of it more of a media company and not just a podcast company with a host of characters. A lot of these people are going to work on long format storytelling one way or another. Nolan specifically can be a great creator even if only on the air a handful of times and not just a full time lebatard show personality.
I may be in the minority but I'm really enjoying the Billy Corben local hours that they have had these last few weeks.
yea, I wanted to like the new club, but it just wasn't the same. Maybe with time the new song will grow on me.
probably, but a lot of these music rights are sold in bulk, and it's almost certain the record label won't sell the rights to just that song.
Mike used that DraftKings money to become and insider apparently, I remember when he was scouring CIS for DMoney post for his UM info
