Haven't sniped enough to know the answer to that one, but the last location you were seen in is where the enemy thinks you are. Have snuck up on many enemies who still think you're hiding behind some cover, and have seen grenades thrown to a spot I snuck away from. It's some of the better AI I've ever seen in a game. Yep, if targeting the right areas you can shred elites.
one thing that needs changed ASAP is your clan mates names are yellow in game. who thought that was a good idea, when enemies are yellow as well? as far as killing the yellows, once you get their armor off they go down real quick, but they are heavily covered most of the time.
Whenever you unlock a new area of the map, or technically whenever you feel leveled up enough to enter a new area (only thing stopping you is enemy strength which it lists the free roam level on map) I always go: Safe houses/settlements 1st to unlock all missions, tech, etc on map Control points 2nd to get loot + donate resources to CP officers for settlement projects + most importantly fast travel spots The projects XP is so big for leveling up I’m at lvl 22 or 23 and still in the Campus section of the map (think I’ve cleared 4 areas) Fast travel is life.
Yeah I know about the fast travel. Hell the other day I did a mission that was 30 fucking minutes long and within 100 feet of the door to exit the mission there’s 10 dudes right there. And this is in the first area
Mission bosses you gotta have a pecking order of killing or the game is really hard. HunterPKP thats what makes the game difficult if you’re not smart about a big fight you’re gonna die. It’s gotten to where we get in cover and look around / plan where to put our offensive skills and who to target early. Also where people want to post up in cover for fighting. Rushing people obviously need first attention Then our sniper will target their snipers while other people look for mechanics and medics. Let mechanics put their turret up and then kill them and the turret turns on enemies. Grenade enemies are a bitch too and need to be dealt with early. Once you get all these role players out of the way the basic assault enemies aren’t a big deal and you can go for the named boss’s critical spots
Does it have the respawn issues that D1 did? I hated clearing an area to fight an Elite and then have fuckers spawn back up and attack me from behind while I'm knee deep in fighting a boss.
Haven’t had this happen so far. Any new grunts coming out come from doors behind the bosses original spawn point
I’ve had some really shitty respawns. Seems like there is a certain threshold of them to die before a respawn happens. It doesn’t feel good to clear 90% of a room and have a few of those rusher mobs come out a door and melt you. Also had someone spawn above me while I was taking cover in a solo Control Point. The enemy dropped right in front of me from the ledge.
Game is so good. 45 minutes turned into 3 hours really quick once I got past some of the beta missions I had done twice. Lucky24Seven i sent a request to join. I’m jaypee. in game in case your buddy’s brother asks. I don’t get to play as much as I used to but I would like to do some endgame stuff and group for stuff later on.
Yeah, i mean i guess. I like gaming with friends so i bought it hoping i wouldnt hate it. Its not often i play anything this much immediately after launch, but without friends i probably wouldnt care bc it just doesnt check enough boxes for me. Its fun tho
Just watch for my video called "4 best ways to fix the division" to drop. I'll give you a preview. 1. Zombies 2. Robots 3. Aliens 4. Genetic mutation that you can often find in DC or tamer Marvel properties
In the space shuttle mission when it fell through the ceiling I bumped into the nose and saw a dialogue box for “F” to search and got a space shuttle keychain. FYI for those who are OCD collectors.
Play higher level missions with your friends if you’re trying to play catch-up XP wise. I was 26 and buddy was 7 last night. Played a lvl 24 roosevelt on my map and a lvl 25 SHD mission. He stayed alive pretty well and did same damage as me, no one-shot death issue. Came out at level 14 after those two missions and he got a shitton of loot. Most missions bump up level in your own storyline based on your level so it’s not like you’re “missing out” on anything except the early-mid level weapon/gear carousel. All your story missions are gonna still be optimal difficulty if playing solo. Only drawback is you can’t do matchmaking when grouped up w someone that much lower than you so you have to start the mission and then manual call for backup which worked for us both times. He said he didn’t notice the scaling issues at all last night but I guess it’s possible they’re still there and he was just playing smart/conservative
We've done power scaling a few times. It seems you can still do decent damage, you just die way quicker. But you're right, it's a real easy/more fun way to level up friends if there's a big difference in level.
IDK if I've said it before, but matchmaking sucks. I wanted to do one mission last night before basketball, and it took multiple attempts to get a single person to matchmake. I would have invited some people from here, but I didn't want to put on a headset, I just wanted help getting 1 mission done.
Did they fix this in the most recent patch? It was absolutely that way to start with. No clue why they didnt scale it by either 1)scaling your character to the lower level or 2)scaling the enemy to all of the players levels (like ESO where you're fighting the same enemy, but a level one would feel like they're fighting a level one and level 30 would feel like they're fighting a level 30. The second option would be preferable, but the 1st option is okay as well. This is probably one of my very few complaints with the launch of the game, along with the skills despawning all the time (already been fixed), and the skill power requirements being completely messed up (they're still working on this one).
People that are playing solo, which two skills are you using? I played 1 a bit but it was hard to do mostly solo. In this one I feel that Solo is viable, but still can be very challenging. I love that if you get sloppy with even a random street encounter you can get destroyed.
I’m 15 and have not had too much trouble at all though I’m on PC. I use the healing/fixer drone and the assault turret. The turret is used primarily as a distraction when it gets really hot. The hardest content so far for me was a bounty where multiple waves came from every direction and I couldn’t keep myself from being flanked. I almost died a few times. The other was taking a control point and it just so happened there were multpile roving enemies down the streets at the intersection and I got flanked. Moving within the cover mechanic is vital early in an engagement otherwise you’ll get shot up in route. Grenades raining from launchers and getting thrown have been most deadly to me.
That's what I started with. Havent had a chance to play much in wt1 yet. Is it just beating the missions / strongholds again before getting to wt2
If you see me online and not in a party shoot me a group invite in game. Not worried ab mics as long as the people playing have some sense of awareness
The coms guy said something like “augmented group active” a couple times last night and I don’t think I had ever heard that before. However it’s entirely possible that has been a thing since day one and I was just too high to realize. I know that it still is the number one fix coming with the next patch.
Do a couple invaded missions then a stronghold. Rinse repeat. Minimum gear score requirements for each stronghold
Does most of the map just reset once you beat the 3rd stronghold in original story? Is that when the black tusks come out and start reclaiming shit? Should you do all side missions before beating the final stronghold and setting this chain off? I’m at 30 and have a lot left to do on the map but capital stronghold I think is the final part of the story before I hit the endgame is where I think I’m at
Would be easier to do the side missions before unleashing the invasion after the strongholds, because youd have more fast travel options. It's really up to you, though. The whole map just turns to chaos, so be prepared to battle a good bit. You'll start out at world tier 1, and every stronghold you beat moves you up one. Invaded missions (main missions with black tusk in them) are what leveled me up to the required Gear Score for each stronghold. Max of Tier 4 right now, with Tier 5 and the black tusk base opening up soon.
Played for first time last night. Played a good 3ish hours and made it to almost Level 5 quickly. Wife not happy that she couldn’t watch normal shows on our big plasma. I know it’ll get tougher, but killing the melee enemies is much easier than D1. Side missions are awesome as well. Will play again tonight for a bit.
Oh I'm sure. Still, in D1, they fucked you up early in the game and late. I've already got a badass gun though. One shot kill if head shot. 3 at worst to torso. Definitely not a bullet spongy as D1.
