It was a much better episode precisely because of her and Inaros' limited screen time lol But, of course, miserable ending. I'm at the point where I'm (more than) half hoping that showing her struggle so much is a dastardly troll and she's about to eat it (I haven't read the material obviously)
the last 3 episodes probably could have been like 1.5 i didn't really understand the significance of naomi getting that HUD to work other than she can use the ship's sensors now i guess?
Just finished season 3. I love all of the connections to the Fermi Paradox/great filter in this show. One of the most interesting concepts there is to me in any subject. I find it hard to care about much of the politics and relations between the characters because it seems so small potatoes compared to the larger plot. Probably my only nitpick about the show, but everything else is so interesting I don’t really care.
Spoiler I think I remember the actor having sketchy shit come out about him when the me too movement was happening
Damn that was a solid finale. Overall I enjoyed the season. Not as much as some others, but still fun. Only part that drug for me was the Naomi stuff.
I need entertaining meme content based around Naomi's in-ship excursions like yesterday Kept waiting for Amos to flirt with Avasarala in that lounge scene. Spoiler lmao @ Alex just dying from a stroke with no build whatsoever.
Spoiler: Spoiler there was a picture floating around of Alex sitting in the chair next to Amos when Avasarala was giving her speech. He was killed off after the fact, with some cgi blood on a still from the scene. But that’s what happens when you have multiple sexual harassment allegations at the very least, if not sexual assault. It looks like Bull joins as the pilot for the next season, implied by him drinking out of Alex’s mug.
Re Alex - Spoiler I assume all the stuff about him preying on girls at conventions came out after shooting. Weird way to kill him off but probably the best they can do w what they had to work with Awesome season. Now we wait for the next one
No I got all of that. I'm just saying the way it came literally from nowhere amused me. As in, no previous discussion of that possibility prior and then they shoehorn in that "well we all know that's always a possibility" line lol
Alright I had to read spoilers for what the hell happened at the end Spoiler season 6 is gonna be weird
That's what I thought. I was thinking back to all the times that it would have been sweet for them to have a rail gun
Spoiler they mentioned the possibility of stroking out after high g maneuvers several times in the series. It almost killed Avasarala in season 2 or 3 I think
I was thinking since the last three books are set 30 years later they could make it a Clone Wars looking show and keep thecast as voice actors
Obviously the payoff was awesome for the season overall but my god were episodes 5ish to 9 drawn out. I wanted to see more of ruined earth too
The best analogy I've seen is that humanity (and I guess the ring builders) is Rome building roads. Every once in awhile people using those roads get all fucked up and killed, and nothing else is known other than it was done by the "goths"
This is great, as far as you can go without really spoiling. Next season is going to be a wild (or really confusing) ride.
Reading the stuff about the "romans" and "goths" going through the rings reminded me of the episode of star trek: tng where we learn that warp travel is basically toxic to that one race of people And the Federation is basically like "lol we need to be able to travel at warp speed" and it's never really addressed again
Iirc they put in a speed limit (warp 5) and actually adhered to it in following episodes - referencing the emergency exception when they exceeded it. Then in one random episode they developed a technological advancement that let them exceed warp 5 without doing damage.
In the books, Fred barely survives the attack and he joins Holden on the Roci after they leave Tycho. He strokes out during the high G burn when they were racing to meet the free navy. They probably wanted to work that way of death somehow. Cas Anvar being a slimeball gave them the opportunity
