Duarte helped out the Free Navy and gave them a bunch of martian military tech (like the stealth tech to hide the asteroids) so he could slip out w his rogue Martian fleet to Laconia. But the Free Navy didnt take control of the fleet.
My god can literally every inaros family member please just die. Every one of them is just excruciating and awful. There's got to be a better villain for this story than clown ass Marcos. That scene where the underling is trying to get him to be serious about food supplies - so pathetic.
i'm about to rewatch but i feel like the martian navy just being given up to inaros was heavily implied. will comment after
marco doesn't have the belter scar/tattoo i didn't catch it the first time but he killed anderson dawes, i guess? a legend among the belters
I feel like this is a fairly consistent trend among “revolutionaries” who don’t realize governing is hard, to be fair.
So what do we think is gonna happen with that ring world creature they always start episodes with? Or is this already answered in the books, I haven’t read
I assume but it looked to me like she redeployed the fleet before Holden Et All had succeeded in knocking out the comms ship. So the fleet could be amongst the Free Navy much earlier than Marco anticipated. (I’ve read the books but it’s been a while since I read this one so this is discussion not spoilers)
What did Holden show Bobbie? Something about something looking weird when the ships moved through the rings?
"She loves it when you call her that" "At least I do it to her face" anyway Marcos is such a stupid child jfc
last two episodes were incredible- both space fights rocked Marco such an idiot for running into that fight
i had to read the expanse subreddit to understand what happened in that fight Spoiler on first watch i thought they hit the pella with the rail gun forcing the pella into the path of bunch of pre-fired bullets at that distance and at that speed was super cool, and a ridiculous shot by bobbie after switching to "manual"
i watched the bonus content that you can access from the xray stuff. they're like ~5 minutes long apiece. they're ok. Spoiler bobbie and amos fight in 3
the martian mech suits being able to withstand crazy g-forces like that was a nice touch after setting them up as a people who thought about nothing but war and terraforming
That last battle ruled. Marco continues to underestimate the Rosi and her crew. So far this season has been fantastic. Wish it wasn't so short tho
SIAP Thee Expanse’s production company filmed an additional 25 minutes of story across five vignettes, which you can only access through Amazon’s X-Ray service by pausing the show and scrolling through otherwise hidden menus. (They’re under Bonus Content.) https://www.theverge.com/2021/12/24/22851119/the-expanse-season-6-final-amazon-x-ray
This season has kind of sucked so far. Aside from a couple cool battles, not much has happened. With only 2 episodes left, it feels like it’s trending towards a rushed ending that feels unsatisfying. And is the protomolecule just not a thing anymore? I always thought that was the main threat rather than the Belters.
the last of the protomolecule was taken through the laconia ring. they're using it to build that ship in orbit
Some explanation of however they got from the Barkeith to whatever that is would be helpful. I like this season but it all does seem like we are headed to a rushed or limited conclusion, and then someone can tell me to read the books to figure it all out.
The protomolecule was taken to Laconia before the Barkeith was destroyed. You see that from Cortezar's transmission right before the Barkeith enters the Laconia ring and disappears I think this is what you were asking anyway
yeah i don't know how they're going to wrap this up in 2 episodes and have it be good Spoiler i was expecting duarte to be older
I would watch it obviously but I kind of hope they don't do some half-assed movie to tie up the loose ends And aren't there like 3 more books that haven't even been touched?
Overall I have enjoyed this season I just feel like not much has happened for it to end with 1 more episode. I don't mind Marco/Filip as much as some do but I definitely agree its frustrating for them to be the focus this close to the finale.
Last three books are like 30 years later and starts a new story so ending it here is a pretty natural closing point.
Spoiler That was a funny ass anticlimactic way to off the tedious shitty principal antagonist of your story
Enjoyed the finale Not by any means a critical point so not spoiling, and I probably forgot just exactly what happened, but did the Mormons ever figure out “hey, that’s our giant ass station”?
