S&W shield, 380
Glock 42. Get it in Tiffany blue
Thanks for the replies. Went and shot a few and decided against the .380. Wife shot and handled the Glock 43 9 mil much better, probably gonna go with that.
Great caliber. Great gun.
Fucking hammers, we need to get them off the streets. I couldn't imagine thinking robbing a gun store with a hammer is a good idea. Unless I were in Oregon, there the state would file a lawsuit against the glass maker for placing the perp in potential danger of the shattered glass.
BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A 37-year-old man suspected in an attempted robbery at a Bellingham sporting goods store is in the hospital after being shot by a store employee Thursday, according to Bellingham police.
Police said they were initially called about 11:04 a.m. to the Haggen Foods store on Meridian Street for a robbery.
Two men reportedly entered the store, stole multiple bottles of liquor and then took off in a car.
About 14 minutes later, police said they were called to a robbery at Yeager’s Sporting Goods, where shots were fired.
When officers arrived they found a man on the floor with a gunshot wound to his chest, being held down by store employees. He was taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center and then moved to Harborview Medical Center.
The man reportedly tried to rob the store.
Police said the suspect walked to the gun counter, pulled out a hammer and began striking the glass top several times. The man was told to stop but did not stop and tried climbing over the counter.
A store employee reportedly feared for his life and then pulled out his concealed firearm and shot the man in the chest.
A second person, a 41-year-old man who was with the suspect but never entered the sporting goods store, was questioned. He was also taken to the hospital for a medical issue unrelated to the attempted robbery.
Officers said they had determined that both men were suspects in the grocery store robbery.
There is probable cause to arrest the 37-year-old for first-degree attempted robbery, second-degree robbery, and attempted theft of a firearm. The suspect is a convicted felon and prohibited from having a firearm, and the car he was driving was stolen, which could result in additional charges being filed, according to police.
The investigation remains ongoing
Sly Stallone is auctioning off his knife collection. A collection including the very first prototype of the “Rambo Knife” that was ultimately never used because they decided it was so nice that John Rambo could not have ever afforded to buy it let alone carry it. Reserve for that piece is $50k and it has already been met even though the auction hasn’t started. This is one of the few times Bill Moran knives can be had by any means other than inheriting one. That might be an exaggeration, but you don’t see them often at any price, especially not his Damascus ones.
Link includes a video of Sly reading aloud which goes about like you’d expect.
It may end up being in there. Here’s a knife by the same maker of the Cobra knife
I don’t know guns as evidenced by this being the first time I’ve opened this thread but a friend has just found what looks to be a type 38 Ariska that his grandfather brought back from the Pacific theatre. Anything notable or valuable about them? Cool for him regardless as family history but he knows nothing about it and looking to offer him some thoughts (that I currently dont have).
Is this the sort of thing that gets discussed in this here thread?
I’ll hang up and listen.
Get em while they’re hot
.80 per round......
Welcome to 2021
Beggars can’t be choosers
Just picked this up. Tuff Knives Mini Prospect. Custom maker from PA. Does awesome work.
Any decent places to get ammo without a huge increase in price?
Bought a M&P 15 sport II today.
Been over two months, still waiting for my approval so I can go pick up my 'new' gun.
Bought 400 rounds of 5.56 at academy today
Uncle Joe bought me a new ar pistol.
Now I just gotta hope he doesn't take it away.
Pre spent uncle Joe’s money on
I was just curious, so I stopped in over at Adventure Outdoors.
$0.80 per round for 9mm FMJ. I suppose that’s better than not having access to any ammo at all, but not by much. Has it been like this for a while now, and how long is this going to last?
As long as Biden is in office
So this is just a demand-side driven scarcity pricing?
It’s been like this since March of last year. Pandemic kicked things off, then changing to a Democratic White House kept it going. Also rising right wing extremism has driven more minorities to invest in self defense. Not enough supply to meet demand.
That + Covid and doesn’t help that 9mm is probably one of the most popular calibers to buy.
Been trying to buy 5.56 anytime i see it 75cpr or less.
father in law was at cabelas a couple days ago and they only had overpriced 7.62 and 28 gauge shells
Stopping 80% lowers and pistol braces aren’t going to do anything for gun violence.
What’s an 80% lower? What’s a stripped lower?
it is not fully machined and therefore is not required to be registered. That assumes the person who ultimately finishes machining it is doing so for personal use and not for resale.
Yeah, I'm really struggling to trace the logic of getting rid of braces to combat gun violence...
point me to the pistol ar with a brace used in mass shootings. Do you think if someone is about to murder a bunch of people then they care about whether they install a pistol brace instead of a normal stock?
What would lower it?
Banning semi-automatics. At least handguns and rifles.
Yeah but how would you hunt, protect yourself, and fight the govt if it gets too uppity?
I don’t disagree that banning pistol braces to curb gun violence is dumb, but the whole loophole that you can get a brace instead of a stock and call your ar a pistol instead of an sbr is asinine. Anyone who knows anything about guns knows damn well that a brace is just a stock with a hole in it and it’s effectively an sbr. The orders issued today accomplish nothing except give people the feel goods. It’s a way to look like they’re doing something without doing anything.
Also, the atf can go fuck themselves. Fuck their tax stamps.
They need to go the f away about sbrs.
