I have an RMR on my M&P pro and it's probably my favorite handgun to shoot now. Some people dont like them though. You can shoot it with both eyes wide open with a little practice which I like. I can get on target quicker with the RMR compared with iron sights. The raised sights help as a backup. So basically I do reccommend it.
After reading the Navy Seal thread, I really really want a Daniel Winkler tomahawk. Like, I think about it constantly.
Very nice folks to deal with. I would also recommend RMJ out of Chattanooga. Either will be cheaper at a show rather than in person (that's been my personal experience). RMJ will cut you and even better deal than the show prices since you're a cop. So will guys like Hinderer though I no longer support his products. Alternatively, you can find these "used" from guys who never got them out of the box. There's forums and Facebook groups for that. eBay is either a rape job or possibly counterfeit so know your signs for fakes. I'm by no means discouraging the winkler products, just shop around and go to a show if you see they're gonna be local. Watch out for fakes on the secondary. If you want something more "one off" I can offer a suggestion as well. You can send a PM if people don't want blade talk in the firearms thread. CRKT also makes a few production versions of the high end custom hawks with permission from the creators. Not the same quality but you can demo something for cheap before going all in on the custom.
Also looking at the return of the Sig P210. Never had one of the old ones but those that did raved about them. They've just been shown at Shot 2017 going on as we speak. Something else drawing attention at Shot Show is this odd looking Hudson H9.
I did the same thing, I don't know if I can justify the tomahawks price but I may pick up one of his fixed blades.
Just picked up the Walker Razor XV's for 88 bucks on amazon. Ambient sound amplification and bluetooth connection with 31db noise reduction. Played with them at the house some and so far I like them, hopefully will get them to the range this weekend. Edit: Worked really good, would occasionally have a delay on cutting the speaker for shots that were from another range but dead on for close in ones.
One of my best friends carried a hatchet/axe whatever you want to call it on his 2nd tour through Afghan. He said if he ever got in a hand to hand situation he wanted to hit someone in the face with it. He changed slightly from the comic book nerd I knew in high school lol.
https://www.slickguns.com/product/g...-psa-16-classic-freedom-13-keymod-rifle-99999 Best deal you will ever find for a rifle and a glock 19
I have no need for any of those, but I am so tempted to buy them just to sell them or give them as gifts.
It's a really cool looking gun you can take to the range and a case of 10000 rounds of ammo only costs like $1.79
Ok I need some recommendations for a decently priced scope for my AR. I have a Lucid and it's trash. Want something that's going to be reasonably accurate and reasonably priced. I know nothing about optics so explain it to me like I'm 10.
The company is owned by 2 brothers, one of whom was the head armorer at Springfield for a while. They had a big contract with the Fed a number of years ago to supply AR's. I personally don't own any but I think its safe to say they make a decent product.
Its like 250 and always has deals on slick guns. Read up on it. Vortex has a lifetime warranty too. It is a true 1:1 so at original power you can operate it like a red dot, but it has an etched battle reticle so you can range shit like an acog if you are familiar with that. It is a 4x and you can up the power a decent range.
I would get an acog if I had a grand to drop on optics. The aimpoint pro is a good alternative at half the price. I know a lot of people like the vortex strike eagle, but I don't like how it looks. I also would want something with an etched reticle because batteries die.
I had a rock river M16A4 for one of my service rifles. No problems. As far as that thing above I have no idea. I think those are piston
So I just purchased an 80% lower and this will be my first AR-15 build. I have no idea about AR's so is there a link or website that will help me so I can build exactly what I want? Any info is helpful. Thanks
