I'd vote for a 9mm pistol. Cheap enough ammo to go to the range pretty often. Handgun safes are much cheaper than standing safes, also pretty good for home defense.
Oh geez. No idea. I've had it for about 7 years. The two snaps mate with another piece of leather that removes printing if you wanted to back pocket carry it, but I never do. No name on the holster other than the eagles. Bought it at a gun show.
Your SR 25? That would set me back about 5 of the above's.. It's on the list no doubt. When you go to the range and pull out your KAC, everyone has to take a peek. (pun intended)
Yessiree - I have two of them, both great rifles. The one pictured is an M110 SASS and my other is an ECC/K1.
Sick. Any place close to you where you can range out 1000m+? Buying a house right now and then going to start really building out the collection.
How much you wanna spend? Inforce makes a Glock only light for a little over 100. Streamlight T-series is good too.
Yeah I can shoot beyond 1600m at my place. PS - I just bought one of the .mil return AN/PVS30's. These usually go for about $11k brand new - the returns are going for $5k (most of these were untouched by .mil). Cannot wait to get this thing. USnightvsion.com for those interested.
I'll go a few hundred if it's the first and last I'll ever buy... durability and dependability are what I'm looking for.
So I'm back on evenings and quickly realized my trusty MagLite no longer cuts it. I got the new Streamlight Stinger HD that puts out 640 lumens. Legit, it's uncomfortably bright.
I believe the 1st intra-TMB firearm transaction took place yesterday, as Barves2125 is now the proud owner of my XDS-9. Enjoy!
Decided to go with the Trijicon B&T suppressor irons to lower 1/3 co-witness my new Glock 19 MOS RMR setup. Unfortunately, I cannot locate them anywhere locally. I might be forced to roll the dice on Optics Planet
For a few reasons... In my opinion, the price point of high-performance thermal is just too high. Also, the technology is rapidly developing, so the units you buy today will be a fraction of their value a few years from now (compare it to the TV/electronic market) - whereas nightvision hasn't changed too much over the years and retains value pretty well (an upcoming game changer in NV will be mainstreaming fusion technology - the integration of NV and thermal). Sure, I could buy a lower cost unit, but then there are performance issues - especially with my intended use. The lower cost units have a lot of pixelation issues at higher magnifications (think of it as looking at a computer or television screen with a pair of binoculars) and are somewhat limited in their capable range of heat detection. A compatible thermal unit to the PVS30 is around $17-20k - I'm spending $5k. With the PVS30 and an infrared illuminator, I'll be able to see targets beyond 800m on an average night - and on a full moon-lit night it's even further. I'll eventually get into thermal - possibly just a little hand held device sooner than later, but to spend big dollars on a higher-performance unit is just not worth it at this point in time.
Guns... or anything really. I've heard dry firing doesn't matter on centerfire pistols, but glock's site even recommends a snap cap/dummy round if you're going to do it a lot... always heard dropping the slide with the slide release is bad yet see people do it a lot... and then just how often it's oiled/cleaned after x many people finger fuck it for days/weeks/months on end?
Rolled the dice on OpticsPlanet, free upgrade to 2 Day Air. I need some sights for my Rock River AR Pistol since my AR-10 stole my Eotechs. Nobody else seemed to have the Troy sights with the Triji's in stock. Useless to have them glow but it's an upgrade over the standard ones so I want it.
I've put close to 8,000 rds through my G17. No hiccups whatsoever. New, used, whatever - buy with confidence and shoot the shit out of it.
Played with some fat bitches this weekend. The first one blew out of the brush straight at me (I was between her and her piglets) and was no more than 6-ft away from me when I promptly blew the hairs off of her chin. It's a rush, especially under NVGs.
Watasha you got a line on a decent price on those pants? I had two from years ago and they ripped out and Im not paying 100 for a new pair.
Went to Shooters World in Tampa Sunday to shoot my pistols and ended up renting some automatic guns after with my brother. We shot an AR15, AK47, and MP5 that were all fully automatic. The MP5 was my favorite bc I could empty the magazine of 30 with 1 trigger pull and still control the gun. Did 5-8 shot bursts with the other 2. AK was probably my least favorite. Ammo sure is expensive when you fire off 150 rounds in 5-10 mins.
