I am not a 1911 hater. I learned on a Kimber. It is “different” from most who learn on a revolver or DA handgun.
I don’t know why I was thinking a 1911 had a decocker. Brain fart. probably as I was staring at my da/sa decocked fn45t
I own 2 SA 1911s. Both have been great through about 5000 rounds. I am more of a 9mm guy but there is no beating the trigger on the 1911. Truly a masterpiece. If you do get one, go ahead and spring for a couple Wilson Combat magazines. The only failures I have had with mine are feed issues with springfield's standard magazines (the followers are a little shitty IMO). The WC ones are flawless.
Soliciting other opinions on the best cheap 9mm target load. I’ve used Blazer Brass in the past and had no issues but I actually found a variety for a change and was curious as to other people’s opinions. Armscor, TulAmmo, Ammo Inc and Syntech are the options.
Founds 1000 rounds of Blazer Brass at .26 cents a rounds and 1000 rounds of 223 overrun training ammo from DHS at .43 cents a rounds so I pulled the trigger on both. Its the best deal I could find considering the times we're living in.
I usually just go to ammoseek and find the cheapest 9mm in brass. Usually that means those horrible white box winchester loads that have at least one failure per box but I shoot a ton so the savings is worth it
Blazer is fine for range ammo. We trained with it for years and years until they went to some cheap ass brand that makes you get real good at failure drills
Doesn't look like I'm going to hit my goal of 100 Guns - No Glocks. Not so much because I use a G43 as one of my carry pieces, but I decided I need to free up room in the safes and I'm sitting on too many guns I haven't shot in a decade or more.
Any of you dudes build? I'm thinking of building a 350 legend AR platform for gun season here. Looking for recs on where to start.
Deer. We traditionally could use only shotgun or blackpowder. Recently it has expanded to straightwal. I could buy one but I've always wanted to try and build. Ammo is cheaper than slugs plus expanded range.
Why couldn't these companies agree on a standard milling/cut on shit. All these different plates for red dots, it's ridiculous. Had we just gone straight picatinny for everything all this other bullshit wouldn't be necessary. And for that reason I think I need to order a Holosun HE507CX2, because Holosun gets it. Fuck you Trijicon, I will no longer let you bully me into having to buy $100 aftermarket mounts because you suck at your job. Except ACOGs, those are dreamy and worth any amount.
Bought a glock 34 yesterday. Going to put a light and laser on it and keep it in a safe in my nightstand. Weird choice I know.
I clearly pissed off the red dot gods. I would like to apologize to Trijicon's red dots, not because Leupold makes a better RMR with the DeltaPoint Pro, but because my words were uncalled for and Trijicon's dots are totally adequate. I would also like to apologize to Alabama, unless they don't give me back my money.
I’ve built 3 of my AR’s and it’s very easy for me but I was in the military so I had a head start. If you have any sort of mechanical skill you will be fine. I’ve never built a .350 legend though. Let me know how it goes cause I’m going to sell my .450 bushmaster to help fund a .350 for deer season.
Whats "gun season" Been around guns my whole life since my first at 4 years old and have never heard of that.
In Iowa up until a few years ago we could only hunt deer using a shotgun, muzzle loader, and or bow and arrow. Well now they have allowed us to us guns that fire a straight walled cartridge, so essentially we can now use rifles with certain types of ammo.
GMA Gun Muzzleloader Archery It's how it's always been listed in the TWRA seasonal hunting guide that I can remember. we refer to it around here as "rifle season"
It’s the term used to refer to the window of time every year where you’re legally allowed to hunt guns with guns.
Looking at buying a Smith & Wesson Mp15-22. Anyone have this or an opinion on it? Reviews look good but making sure
