I expect we'll use similar gamesmanship. The reports are Miyan Williams is expected to play but I would be surprised if he has a major role after getting carted off two weeks ago
I'm not sure if Harbaugh has addressed Erick All's injury the entire season, and he's been out since September and had some kind of back surgery that was clearly season-ending (and was rumored to be having it for weeks before it happened). Harbaugh believes that giving Hawai'i a two deep before playing them is an advantage that he can't give them. They're going to do everything possible to make OSU think every player on the roster is going to be available until 12:15 on Saturday.
We have been fighting injuries all year. WR Jaxon Smith Njigba has played parts of three games. RB Treyveon Henderson has missed three B1G games, and left last week early. RB Miyan Williams has missed two B1G games including last week and left Penn State early. RT Dawand Jones missed Indiana. DT Mike Hall missed Toledo, reinjured against MSU, and has played limited snaps since. We start five DBs, and every single starter has missed at least one start except Hickman at S. Our two corners have missed 7 starts between them, in nonconsecutive stretches. Everyone played last week though.
My opinion of O$U this year- QB: When Stroud is on and can throw from a clean pocket, he has the best arm in America. When he is forced out of the pocket or has pressure in his face, he can get a little reckless. Fortunately, our OL has only give up 8 sacks this year. RB: Trey Henderson and Miyan Williams have been injured all year and will not be 100% this week. Short yardage runs continue to be an issue. True Freshman Dallan Hayden has looked pretty good the last couple of weeks, but it remains to be seen if that is just because he is healthier than everyone else or has that pop that the other two have been missing all year. WR: Marv is a top ten pick in the 24 draft. Emeka Egbuka reminds me of Olave, but not quite as reliable. Julian Fleming is a problem down the field, but he has a hard time catching contested passes. Highly doubt JSN will go this week, unfortunately. TE: Cade Stover has been a pleasant surprise in the passing game this year. He can be hit or miss in regards to his blocking though. OL: They have been really good this year in pass pro. The running game looked great in the first six weeks, but has really sputtered the last five. Probably without our starting RG (Matthew Jones) this week. DL: Probably our best unit on the team. Zach Harrison, JT Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, Mike Hall, Taron Vincent are all very good and disruptive up front and force a lot of pressures, sacks, turnovers. LB: Tommy Eichenberg has been playing at an All-B1G level this season and Steele Chambers has been decent. Much improved from last year. CB: Probably our biggest weakness. We have the talent/athletes, but the 50/50 balls seem to be caught 85% of the time. They have a hard time finding the ball in the air. Very concerning. S: I've been impressed with Hickman, Ransom, and to a lesser extent Tanner McCallister. Ransom is a playmaker and Hickman is very reliable. P: Jesse Mirco has been incredible this year. Love him. K: Noah Ruggles is pretty reliable in the short-intermediate range. Anything 50 and beyond would be a challenge.
If we win, I will take the goatee off Jim Schwartz in my avatar. If not, my laziness will continue and it will remain unchanged.
Losing fanbase has to donate a collective $1000 to Ace Anbender's Laziness Disease GoFundMe so he can get his much needed rest from laying around and blogging.
How much of Day's week is devoted to game planning, and how much to planning his post-game off-the-cuff zinger after hearing about 3rd base all year?
The blankets Harbaugh donated to the University of Michigan maternity ward all say Dobbs v. Jackson Womens Health.
From the Ohio State press release this week: The all time series is Michigan 59-51-6, and is 27-27-2 in Columbus. This is the 12th time the schools have met as top-5 opponents, the most of any two schools. ESPN Gameday will be live. Ohio State leads all schools as a Gameday host (22), appearances (55), and wins (38-16). Michigan has 43 B1G titles while Ohio State has 39, but Ohio State has the most conference wins at 542.
Haha I know. Were going to the game. Wife really wants to go. Should be a fun time considering I have no rooting interest
