Anyone else watching this? I've enjoyed the couple episodes I have watched, and it just got picked up for a full season. http://www.fox.com/watch/532955203600/7765732608
Only seen first two episodes. Lot funnier than I expected. Was skeptical of Savage, but it's working so far.
I'm glad it got picked up. It has its moments but I think it will only get better if it has time to grow. Right now, they're relying heavily on Rob Lowe and Fred Savage as the foil. Once other characters and stories emerge, I think it'll be a lot less hit or miss.
I was going to say that I wouldn't go that far but I can't think of any other comedy that's premiered this year worth a damn.
Watched A Bittersweet Grind earlier and it's easily the best episode yet. Laughed audibly quite a bit.
Without going into too much detail I was having sex with the hottest girl in the school in her parents shower and I slipped
I've liked Life in Pieces. At times it goes for the low-hanging fruit with its jokes, but it's pretty clever on the whole. Jordan Peele's character is fantastic.
Little tip for next time: If you're doing a take you don't want them to use, just leave the tiniest bit of your penis showing. They can't use it. They can't use it. Holy shit, every word out of Timothy Olyphant's mouth was pure gold. That was easily the best episode they've done. Very encouraged that this show could become something great.
Me too. I like everyone in the cast and I think they'll eventually hit their stride with the writing. The past four episodes have been better than the first four so they're trending in the right direction.
just binge watched the first 8 episodes i loved it, when talking about the part the kid didnt get I'm confused. What do you mean you didn't get the part? "12 years old, looks like he's nine, skinny, precocious, articulate redhead, wise beyond his years " it is not... in my wheelhouse it is very much in your wheelhouse honey
When an actor of Olyphant's pedigree agrees to come in and do a cameo mocking himself, you know the show is respected for it's humor in the business. I only started watching after Savage was a guest on Comedy Bang Bang to promote it and he was great. It helped that Auckerman raved about how good it was.
Another great episode and more great appearances from Olyphant and Alexander. I really hope the Grinder: New Orleans storyline isn't done for good though. And fish, I thought you were a little premature a month ago but now you're absolutely right, best new comedy of the year.
One thing that I would like them to do a little bit more of is build up Boise. It fits the theme of the show well (Hollywood star to smaller city, small law firm, cases of a lesser nature) but they could do more world building. Most of the great comedies of the last ten years have used their settings to enhance the story (Pawnee, Scranton, Philly, the OC (dont call it that)).
NEW TUESDAY COMEDY LINEUP DEBUTS JANUARY 5 WITH “NEW GIRL” SEASON PREMIERE AT 8:00 PM; FOLLOWED BY “GRANDFATHERED” AT 8:30 PM; “BROOKLYN NINE-NINE” AT 9:00 PM; AND “THE GRINDER”AT 9:30 PM New Girl, Grinder, and Brooklyn Nine Nine on the SAME NIGHT?
It's about me being in the article. Yeah, I got that. Good. I didn't want you to think Stu was upset because of the meal you've prepared.
Great episode last night from the opening scene to the credits. I really hope Olyphant sticks around. He's great as a foil to Dean and his neediness is hilarious.
Baby I would just like you to know that I've been invited to be on Kimmel its just that I had prior commitments
i thought that was a great episode. glad it got a full season as we seem to be hitting a good stride here. that tuesday lineup on fox is no joke
It could still happen but I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a situation where Dean was disguised as Andre disguised as Dean. Overall, another great episode. The McDreamy bit was perfect.
I did not expect them to find their footing so quickly but they have, and there's still a lot of room to grow all of the characters. I know things have probably changed since they got a full season order but Todd and Claire are currently listed as guest stars so hopefully that changes because those two are great.
I found my birth parents like 10 years ago. I have a relationship with them. So that's why the moment felt so underwhelming.
