Anyone actually getting extradited to Gilead is complete and utter horseshit. They better not go down this path.
This season is dragging a little bit imo. The episodes are just snuff films at this point without really moving things forward
The last episode and the episode where she sends the letter to her husband we’re both awesome. Obvious huge suspension of disbelief but enjoyable.
Glad we are finally going somewhere. It felt like too many episodes that didn't advance the story before the finale
The one thing that I always find strange about this show is the amount of times where she almost breaks the fourth wall and will seemingly smile, smirk, or look like she is in fear (as a wink to us) and broodingly walk really slowly to ominous music.
I would say damn near every scene. It gives the show a fantasy element to it for me, as opposed to something that is more realistic.
I've also listened to "Cloudbust" by Kate Bush two dozen times since the last episode. The original music video is dope as well.
I thought the season was solid three real standout episodes. That said, how the fuck they can spin a story where she comes back from this beyond hanging is beyond me.
To that point unless the season focuses on another story, which would be strange because it is the Handmaid's Tale, I guess this can only go one way. She gets brought to some secret location where medical care is given and as far as Gilead are concerned she disappeared with the kids and doesn't exist in Gilead.
One (unlikely) thought I had is June could ultimately become free via a prisoner exchange involving a/the Waterford(s).
Terrible show now. These two stories sum up my thoughts nicely. Brutally illogical + has morphed into feminist revenge porn (which hey, to each their own, I get it) https://www.google.com/amp/s/io9.gi...at-the-handmaids-tale-is-a-fan-1837031128/amp https://io9.gizmodo.com/hey-handmai...U3YlhWUlgzVTVGYzItT1hGMjBZY2tmWkFBbnJtUDBaSXg.
I get complaining about the hyperbolic fact patterns, I dont understand complaining about some of the presented horrors of a Republican Dystopian future.
Watched first 2 episodes. Damn I forgot how intense this show is. Please stop trying to make me give a single fuck about Yvonne Stravoski’s character. Irredeemable.
This show is so hard to watch, but I can’t stop watching. Music has been amazing so far this season. The Radiohead, Fade Out scene, my god. Of course they leave it there.
Edit: forgot what I posted doesn't happen in the first 2 episodes. Don't know what the rules for spoilers in here are.
I wanted to like that episode more, but overall I found it annoying. The flashbacks were kind of lame. Why does everything have to be so fucking hard? I felt better about her reuniting with Moira than I did with her seeing Luke. Not that I care, but I also have no idea where the show goes from here. I just always assumed that Lydia was going to wind up with her under her control again, and I still think we get there. Maybe they threaten Hannah to get her back, or she forms some kind of militia to go back into Gilead. Very strange seeing an episode with almost no Gilead interaction.
Maybe I missed it earlier in the series, but Moira seems to have deeper feelings about June than June does about her. Yeah, I can see her back in Gilead, but I'm hoping for a liberation.
I think June is just so fucked up right now she doesn’t know what she feels and she also puts purpose ahead of people.
I'm not sure how many more seasons of the show we really need. June definitely needs to go back into Gilead to get Hannah. And you know she's not leaving Janine.
Next one is already ordered, I think. Last thing I read was the creator said as long as Moss was in, they’d keep going.
Felt sick to my stomach this week when Spoiler the fucking pro-Waterford MAGAssholes were cheering them outside prison
Same. There is so much life imitating art going on. I wonder if the MAGA's who watch the show identify with Gilead or still see themselves as the resistance.
Great season so far. June is so overbearing I really have a hard time rooting for her but then feel bad for it
