If you make it with casein at night that thing seems like it expands once it gets in your stomach and will really kill the hunger. I’ve been crushing the optimum nutrition vanilla ice cream protein powder with almond milk (regular is key not low fat) and it tastes like a milkshake
doing that shit always dulled my buzz and made me sleepy, so i try to get my eating in before i tune out for the night. i also tried really hard to ignore the munchies for a few months and they don’t really bother me now unless im actually hungry.
So I’ve never really frequent this thread on our beloved tMB. But, I’ve just been recently diagnosed with a legit gluten allergy. Do any of you faggots have any delishes dishes and other tips for me? My doc has me on some shakes that are reducing inflammation and what up.
What kind of cereal do y’all get. Looking for something plain/healthy I can add a little fruit to for breakfast
I usually buy a box of Kashi go lean That usually sits unopened until the date expires while I eat cinnamon toast crunch, Cheerios, etc
Thought this was also general healthy living/weight loss thread That’s what I’ve been kopping at Publix. Sounds like I’m on the right track
Since the Keto thread has taken off, is anyone still doing Whole30 or have one planned? I’m thinking of transitioning to Paleo.
Know any paleo compliant protein powder? Thinking of trying this https://paleopro.com/product/paleo-protein-powder-2/
Did a poor-man’s Benedict the other day: whole grain toast, guacamole, fried eggs, and seaweed salad. Making some ahi and fried rice tonight with baby bells, baby bellas, and green onions from the garden.
I would recommend trading the ice cream for booze and sticking to healthy eats. You’ll live longer and have waaaaaay more fun.
I'm on day 7 of my first whole30. On Day 3 I felt like I had no energy all day. The extra planning is a pain in the ass, but other than that it's been manageable so far. I've been a long time Belvita/breakfast bar person in the morning, so substituting that out was probably the biggest immediate change for me.
Yeah I regularly will have some cereal or protein shake for breakfast when I’m in a rush. I love milk and cereal in general so that’s going to suck.
If you’re serious about it, prep as much as you can today. By far the most annoying shit, much moreso than the limited menu, is the amount of cooking you have to do. Chipotle has a Whole 30 bowl that is a lifesaver in a crunch. Stock up on rx bars and compliant Luna bars for when you’re in a pinch. Lots of Lacroix and cut up veggies with almond butter or guac for when you need something quick.
Made breakfast and lunch for Mon-Wed today. I've been going through tons of Lacroix and Bubbly this week. Compliant Lara bars too.
Hungover and just got back from the store. Not looking forward to prepping the next few hours. Getting some non compliant take out for last meal and to make it a little easier with all the prepping.
What's your recipe? I've only tried 1/2 cup traditional oats 3/4 cup milk 1 tbl chia 1 tbl greek yogurt Cinnamon / brown sugar / craisins / vanilla extract
I go either milk or almond milk, honey, some kind of nut (I’ve got walnuts, almonds, and cashews in the pantry), and some kind of fruit (usually bananas, blueberries, or apples). If I add apple, I’ll add cinnamon.
Work team going out for lunch tomorrow on day 2 of w30. I really don't want to be "that guy" asking what it's in everything. What's an easy go to at a place with a huge menu, little bit of everything. Burger no bun, no cheese? Steak? Salad for side minus cheeses etc.
Lots of places have created W30 & Paleo menus that they have spun-off of their main menu. Google or make a couple phone calls and I bet you will find a quality place in 5 minutes.
Salad is what I did. Listen you're probably going to ingest some illegal sugar but you'll still be fine.
No doubt, I'm just trying to stay as strict as I can as long as I can. If this was day 20 something I would probably just order what sounds the most compliant. It's some dudes birthday so it's his choice. But yeah the only thing I found for this place was some chicks blog who got a salad minus the goods.
My BMI is 23 (6'1"/175lbs) and doc says I have high cholesterol in my mid 30's. I've cut way back on red meats and fried foods and my cholesterol is still near 200. I have a desk job which is not helping, but this is stressing me out. I need more healthy living.
