    HIIT, abs and push-ups this morning. That core work starting to show. Trip to Cali in a week my goal is to be in the 170s before departure, currently sitting at 180.6lbs.

    Eggs, potatoes and ww dark chocolate chip and strawberry pancakes for dinner. Nice little "cheat" meal.

    Day 5 into Whole 30 again. Obviously that's no drinking as well and feel better already on that front. Side note, second time on this diet and it's vastly easier now given the shit we left behind from the first go round last Mar/Apr.

    not doing a full-out no drinking but from monday after the super bowl til SXSW 3/10 I'm only drinking wine with dinner 1-2 nights a week and nothing on the weekends.

    I only allow myself to make my weekly trip to the Nike Outlets if I go the entire week without drinking, and allow it one night on the weekend. It also leaves me with more money to spend there.

    The combo of that, macros, and the apple cider vinegar kick has my skin glowing.

    think i posted this back in the spring but a nice healthy version of chicken salad: greek yogurt, avocado, chicken, salt, pepper. optional: cranberries, pecans, and lemon juice. it's amazing.

    Fuck fat-free products. They just add additional garbage to it in order to keep it looking/tasting the same as the "regular" product. Not the case here, but fat-free in a lot of things just means more sugar

    Well ... just to be clear the chicken I am referencing is the rotisserie chicken. It's cooked, easily shredded or diced and tastes wonderful.

    I can't wait. Sunday is gonna be glorious gluttony. Starting 2-a-days next monday. probably not even really drinking during the super bowl. was gonna have that as my last day to get hammered until mid march but after this past weekend i'm pretty much over it.

    If you're just trying for complex carbs it's can be hard. Otherwise you can just eat bread with every meal.

    Side note: I miss bread.

    how many do you need per day? apples, bananas and pineapples have a lot (~25, ~30, ~100). Dried fruit is the shit. Trader joes has some dried mangos, mandarins and cranberries that are excellent. I keep those and a tub of dried veggie chips in my desk at work to keep from eating the shitty snacks in the break room

    Yeah that's how I want to boost it. I know a 22 year old that said he stalled with macros so he just dropped his carb intake, but in order to hit his carb #'s he would eat an english muffin drowning in Jam. With the "Food is Fuel" mindset i'm trying to avoid hitting my numbers that way. I need to step up my post-workout blueberry game. I'm allowed 170 carbs, but those numbers are soon to drop since i've dropped some fat, so that will actually help.

    Tempeh salad. You could easily do it with tuna or chicken.

    Spicy mustard, avocado, sliced grapes, crushed nuts of your choice, celery, peppers, red onion, splash of oil and vinegar. Slap it on a salad or roll it in a lettuce wrap.

    I've been making some quick and dirty DIY chipotle in mass quantities and eating it all week. Its no substitute for Chipotle, but it's close enough that I hardly go there anymore:

    - Add some fresh cilantro and lime juice to some brown rice
    - Cook/brown your choice of meat in a large stock pot. I used ground beef, chicken thighs, or chicken breast (whatever I have) with half a packet of taco/fajita seasoning and the juice from a can of diced tomatoes with green chiles
    - Remove the meat and add one sliced onion and two sliced peppers to the remains.
    - Stir in whatever else you get at chipotle. I usually put in some frozen corn, the can of the tomatoes, (you can also use pico, but I find when I make it this way it already has all the pico flavors in it), and some black or pinto beans from the can (drained). Throw in the rest of the seasoning packet.
    - Add the meat back and stir it all up.
    - Serve over bed of cilantro/lime rice and top with a sprinkling of mexican cheese and fat free sour cream or greek yogurt.
    - I usually also top with a couple chopped pieces of lettuce from some leaf lettuce, chopped green onions, and jalepenos.

    Easy and cheap and I don't get sick of it. Get a week's worth of Chipotle for the cost of 2 trips there.

    Traveled to West Coast early this week for work and then got sick on return journey. Have not worked out since Monday.

    Back on it tomorrow as I am hopeful to feel much better. Yoga is the plan.

    Still at 179. Plan is to hit 170 by mid-March.
