It should be fairly easy to get 2,000+ calls in on whole30 I'd imagine. A serving of healthy fat with each meal is at least 405 cals a day
Yeah I agree. Would like to stay around 1800 to lose some weight but I definitely need to be eating more than I did the past two days.
What is everybodys go to filler snack? Ive just recently starting eating better calorie wise. I just feel so dang hungry all the time.
Hummus and something to dip in it. Typically pita chips, but if I'm trying to be healthy I switch it up and go for cherry tomatoes, sliced bell pepper, or snap peas.
hummus with carrots/cucumber HB Eggs protein pudding ---> protein with greek yogurt: 1 scoop and 1 cup pudding, can also be made w/ sugar free pudding mix, 2.5 cups milk, and 1 scoop protein
I wasn't dropping fat cuz of this so I told my wife she could have $300 to blow on a shopping spree if I had any alcohol this month. That did the trick. Down 7 lbs.
Cheese and boars head genoa salami (the log). But I rarely feel the need to snack but I'm ketofag not whole30fag.
Didn't know this thread existed. Here are two my wife and I like to do a lot. http://ifoodreal.com/crockpot-turkey-chili-recipe/ It freezes well. We each got a bowl and have 5 bags in the freezer. It takes a little prep but it's fucking delicious. This is also cheap, delicious, healthy, and easy as hell to make. Be sure to get this type of sausage because it tastes so much better that way.
I make this one all the time in Fall and winter, with ground turkey instead of beef http://peaceloveandlowcarb.com/kickin-chili-low-carb-gluten-free/
When you shit and piss what looks like blood, just remember you consumed beet juice. Have had a moment of terror thinking I was dying the first time I consumed a large quantity of beets the night before and then woke up to piss the next morning
once ate a lot of pickled asparagus and beets one night I imagine that's what Shrek's piss would be like that night
Ive said it before but plain greek yogurt and a packet of ranch seasoning is great for dipping veggies in.
I like trail mix. A healthy kind that doesn't have salt added or have shit like chocolate in it, just nuts/seeds/dried fruit. Nuts and fruit come with some fat and calories obviously but it's a healthy natural snack overall and it's hearty enough to fill you up unlike some healthy snacks
cashews, blueberries, or these crunchy wheat sticks i found on amazon. for some reason blueberries are very filling for me.
maaaaan the shits that you get in the first couple weeks back on the health life... horrible but so satisfying
Have been off the health train for over 2 months now. Have a long road trip ahead which will likely continue the unhealthy ways, then back with a vengeance. Did a lot of yoga the first month I was on vacation, but since February have done basically nothing but walk a lot. I generally lose weight when I booze a lot/eat unhealthy, but I look so much unhealthier. Arms and shoulders lose a shitload of definition, all the beers goes to my gut, and I just feel blah and my whole body is "loose." At about 160-165 now, 170-175 is about the ideal weight for me. Starts next week.
I've been eating healthy and counting calories for the past month or so. I started out around 170-175, but now I'm down to 165-170. Weather is getting nice so it's time to get back to running with the dog.
Ran 5k for the first time ever. Wasn't fast at all, but I didn't walk at all either so I'm pretty pleased. Hopefully this is the start of a new healthier chapter of my life.
I've never really followed a strict diet, just eat healthy and exercise 5-6x/week. Smoothies in the AM, meat and veggies for dinner. Very low carb diet, never drink soft drinks, hardly any sugar/sweets. Yoga/weights/running throughout the week. That's what I did before I got off the wagon.
One week down on whole30. Easier than I thought, especially after I realized I wasn't eating enough. Got two compliments at work yesterday from people that think I've already lost weight. I think it was because I trimmed my beard but nice to hear nonetheless. I will be cheating this Saturday but hopefully that won't screw everything up.
threw some diced jalapeƱos, banana peppers, and green chilis into the turkey/dirty rice. shits delicious. starting to throw in cardio circuits on the end of workouts. cut out a few sets of lifting and get those #abs
Any recommendations for a hypoglycemic diet? I crave sugar, then crash immediately after eating it. After eating lunch at work, I feel exhausted the rest of the day so I'll drink a soda for the caffeine. It's a vicious cycle. Is there a healthy way to stabilize my sugar without eating all day long?
Are you diabetic? If so I don't want to weigh because I might do more harm than good. If not is it just sugar cravings that you're getting? I hear frozen grapes are good. Carrots, apples. Best thing to do is just stop eating sugar. It is difficult but I read that if you can stop for 3-4 days you start to lose the cravings.
I'm Hypoglycemic; I get some of the same diabetic side effects (extreme thirst, crave sugar, exhaustion) Basically my body produces a fuck ton of insulin when the sugar hits and my blood sugar plummets.
Yeah I might do more harm than good but I have read apples and frozen grapes are healthy ways to sugar. Also Greek yougurt with no sugar added. It is the added refined white sugar that is the most harmful/
Pretty sure what you need to do is plan ahead, need those complex carbs to break down and gradually feed your body energy. also shouldnt eat carbs along but in combination with protein.
i recently started doing home health PT which means i drive most of the day, and i typically eat in my car. any ideas on good and healthy lunches that i can make and eat in the car (without having to heat it up)?
Hard boiled eggs with sriracha, bananas, bag of carrots, water. I do that Monday-Friday as I work out of my vehicle as well. Some people say it is boring but it is just body fuel that turns into poop.
i do enjoy a good hard boiled egg. i've been doing tuna salad with crackers which is great and high protein, but i want to switch it up a bit
