after years of doing well avoiding sodas Coke Zero has worked its way into my diet and i’m struggling to break free of it. Cherry Coke zero is even worse. idk what is in them, but i’m addicted. :/
Big glass of water is also good to get your body started and going again too, it's one of the first things I do in the morning after waking up. I also dabble in the tea game every now and then in the evenings when I want something besides water
Soda is the one real vice I can’t quit. I’m good for at least one Coke Zero a day, sometimes two or three on a weekend.
Water, cold brew, espresso and the occasional beer. Never been as happy as when I finally kicked the soda pop cola coke habit.
I only drink soda with the full large pizza cheat day. 2 liter. I've learned that food is the one situation where two wrongs actually do make a right. If you're gonna cheat meal then fucking do it. started doing french press cold brew at work this week. 3 cups water + 1 cup ground coffee + 24 hours. found some "pure bliss caramel" shit in the work fridge and sea salt that makes the best damn coldbrew I've ever had. And it's all free instead of paying $3.50 x 2 for the same amount of chameleon from the store
I drink maybe one 20oz Coke or Dew per every couple months and it is always hungover and with pizza. Copious amounts of black coffee, espresso and a shit load of La Croix (#basic) for me now. I used to despise carbonated water, but once you stop drinking sugary drinks (including juices and sports drinks), LaCroix tastes amazing and refreshing. I also squirt lime/lemon juice into them sometimes. And hot teas in the winter
i started drinking a glass of water right away in the morning. especially when i do an early am lift. you ever drink hot water? really helps my sinuses this time of year. and Kevintensity i found Mr. Pibb Zero in a restaurant soda fountain one time. it’s so fucking good. i’ve never found it since.
The move to sparkling water + lime/lemon makes up 95% of what I drink now. Basically completely removed soda from my life Though I'm worried now that Egg Nog season is upon us
I've never gone the hot water route but I can see the appeal of it as it gets into winter here. That's part of the reason I've started having some teas in the evenings, after drinking water all day I wanted to switch it up to something hot with a little flavor
I found that I crave carbonation, and that "burn" that comes with it. Grab a sampler pack of Zevia on Amazon and pick a few flavors that you like and go with it. Helped me with grabbing the occasional coke/mtn dew.
i like Linden flower Tea when i’d like a little more flavor. it has no caffeine and isn’t very strong in flavor.
Fresca isn't a bad soda replacement. I guess maybe it's technically still a soda but it's 0 calories. Also is a great mixer with Espolon and lime juice
This. When i started my weight loss I became addicted to coffee. I drink 2-3 espressos a day and usually at least one grande redeye from Starbucks. I used to drink 3-5 Coke Zeros a day but between coffee, sparkling water and the occasional unsweetened iced tea I don't even miss it. I also conquered my mental need for something sweet after meals by drinking these.
I do a shot glass full of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar first thing in the morning followed by two glasses of water. It's really easy to drink the water really fast to wash away that disgusting taste.
It has a ton of benefits, more than I could possibly list, but I use it to help with gut health and digestion. It helps your stomach produce good bacteria for better digestion. You have to get apple cider vinegar with the "mother" in it. It's murky and taste awful. Bragg's is the most common brand you run across. Speaking of Bragg's, I used this and ginger to marinate some chicken and it was awesome.
definitely seems like you could just put it in the first glass of water and then refill the 2nd glass to get any residual instead of subjecting yourself to that shit straight
I read that it can fuck up your throat if you drink it straight. Just something I read, no idea on the validity.
There's surely a thread on this, but someone tell me some good wireless headphones to get for the gym. My girlfriend got a Macbook and gave me her Powerbeats 3 that came with it. They worked fine for a few weeks and I do like the sound quality, but apparently there's this dumbass design flaw to where they shut down due to sweat. So now they randomly turn off when I'm working out and it's annoying as fuck. I'm open to the earbuds, bigger over-the-ear things, whatever. Just want good sound quality and decent battery life.
I bought the Sony over the ear headphones on Amazon Prime day that where regularly $200 for me and the inferior being I live with for $100 each....I prefer my cheap in ear $30 Canbors. I sweat profusely with the over the ear shit.
There is a new version of the canbors on Amazon Pelican but I'm waiting for my new desktop to arrive to post it because my less than one week old Samsung S8 keeps restarting every time I try to skip apps and link shit.
These are real solid for $35. Good bass for earbuds. Probably get ~4 60-90 minute workouts in between charges. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B017...Bluephonic&dpPl=1&dpID=31LI67xKJJL&ref=plSrch
Pelican here are the ones I was talking about. $30 and at the time I bought them were one of the highest rated by far in this price range. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B075...ebp_QL65&keywords=canbor+bluetooth+headphones
I am pretty happy with these for the price. I use them exclusively at the gym, don't think they are good enough for travel on a plane.
I have the powerbeats 3 and I love them, never had the issue with them shutting down due to sweat. And I sweat just walking to work in the winter
Interesting. Everything I’ve read makes it sound like it’s pretty common. Mine worked flawlessly for about a month but now they usually don’t make it more than 15 minutes into a workout.
I fucks with cranberries, blueberries, kiwis, and avocados. got a free bottle of acai berry supplement with a preworkout last year and took it. did not turn into ryan gosling
buying those supplement things feels dumb to me. mostly because i really enjoy eating those fruits/foods.
Mailed it in for the rest of the year. Pizza and wings tonight. Jan 2 is when we hit the reset button.
Say every year “I won’t gain the holiday weight between thanksgiving and NYE”and it’s on the verge of failing for the Xth year in a row.
