I might watch cabin in the woods tonight, which I think might be the most fun to watch horror movie ever for me.
Just got out of Halloween. Absolutely loved it. Some really fantastic nods to the original while still being it’s own film. Good laughs, great kills, awesome time.

GF lived in a house that was haunted a long time ago. the family's grandmother's ghost is who they think it was. Girl that she moved in with told her all about it when she first moved in just so she would know. 2 things happened, and I questioned them basically saying you're making this up to fuck with me, but she said she was being serious so take it fwiw 1- large armoire had a bunch of grandmom's old nice dishes. some people came over to pregame before going out and the scooted it a few feet down the wall to make room by the kitchen table. everyone leaves and goes to the bar. when they get back the armoire was back where it was supposed to be. nobody took credit for moving it. 2- few people stayed at their house one night. one bedroom upstairs was grandmother/grandfathers old room. two separate single beds on opposite sides of the room. one person slept in each bed. everyone wakes up to the person who tried to sleep in grannys bed yelling at the other for fucking with them. other person is denying it and claims to have been asleep the whole time (they didn't know about the granny ghost). turns out the person sleeping in grannys bed had woken up on the floor 3 times in a few hours time. had bruises the following morning all on both sides of body. claimed the other person was basically pushing them out of bed as a prank... which is a bad prank if so.
Great way to sum things up sir Spoiler: And There could still be a sequel from this group of writers/production team, although not sure how far/what direction they could reasonably take it. But if it makes enough money—and it had a great night on Thursday—then I’m sure they could think of something.
I have had birds get in this house before. They are far too god damn stupid to figure out how to get out without a shit ton of assistance. I once managed to get one trapped in a hallway with an outdoor exit. Sealed up the doors to the hallway, opened up the exit door. Took the dumbass mother fucker 20 minutes to figure out he couldn't fly through the windows but could fly through the opened door. Several times would even just sit there staring out the damn door but wouldn't go through. But yes let's pretend that a bird with shit for brains could figure out how to exit a house through a tiny hole in the wall. You might be stupider than that fucking bird.

Bolded part is the most important part of the whole post. If someone is telling you a "ghost story" there better be some kind of action like this taken to give it any semblance of credit. either that or they better be some kinda Lydia from beetlejuice type person. No average person is gonna legitimately see a fucking ghost and just shrug it off... and actually talk about it like it's a ghost. they'd either gtfo because it's a fuckin ghost or they would convince themselves it was something else.
saying the family was "wrong" is kinda weird statement to make. kinda curious but kinda don't wanna read some dumb fuck explanation as to how you can read Guns story and your answer is "the family is wrong"... like about what? their doors weren't really slammed shut and locked? they didn't really have to get someone to come unlock them? don't think you could make a statement they were wrong about their dreams... that'd basically be saying the dream collaboration was made up for a not really even "ghost" story. just a story that two people had the same dream. who would do that? saying they're "wrong" is just a pussy way of saying he thinks all the stories in the post were just made up. which I never get unless it's a fuckin humdinger of a story.

A) how do I know the story isn’t made up by Guns’s friend? Or even if Guns’s friend is made up? It’s called lying. It’s a much more likely explanation than anything else. B) The story could be misremembered like anything in the past can be. Exaggerating a story to keep the listener engaged happens literally every day. C) Saying “WRONG” is not outright dismissing their story. Saying their story is an example of a haunting is WRONG. Because ghosts aren’t real. Fear and superstition are though, which is why we’ve been telling ghost stories since forever to explain unknown things. And that can be enjoyable. I love ghost stories...just don’t insult my intelligence by saying “and it’s 100% true too!”

Ghost stories by definition are not true. Again, I’m not necessarily disputing Guns’s friend’s story...it just 100% wasn’t because of a ghost.
On a serious note, watching episode six of Hill House, Shirley’s husband is easily the worst actor of the series. It’s especially noteworthy against a bunch of really good performances.
Yeah, he was mediocre. Only other role I've ever seen him in was a guest appearance on Chuck several years ago.

Last 40 minutes of hill house were so good. Spoiler The scenes with Mr. and Mrs. Dudley asking him not to burn down the house was gut wrenching to watch as a father of a little daughter, man what a great season finale.[\spoiler]
