I told this story over a decade ago, but I was out in the middle of nowhere IL riding alone. Some kids came up right behind me(I saw them coming in my 3rd eye) and honked, swerved, and yelled at me. I flew down into a ditch to their screaming delight. I was completely fine. Got up and went as hard as I could to catch up. They were stopped in town at a light and didn’t see me coming up. It ended up being about 16-18 year old kids. I took out my water bottle and sprayed everyone in the car. They semi laughed and respected the karma. I do everything I can to hug a side and sit up when I see cars coming behind me. I try to go out where there are minimal cars. That said, I completely get why people get annoyed. I’ve even ridden with the type that feel they have the right to ride two wide because they are obeying the law! Or ride in congested areas. Or you could get over like a considerate person and let the cars pass. They get off on “I have rights” so they are totally Karens.
Thank you, user TheWampa for being my 50,000th like. I always wanted it to be you, you fucking dreamboat.
the only time I've ever been upset with cyclists was driving in the mountains in Slovenia a couple of summers ago. Around every bend you're hitting the brake because some german or british tourist is toiling at 5mph uphill on single lane roads. At some point on that vacation I texted noted cyclist a.tramp inquiring as to when it was morally acceptable to run one down.
Not sure if posted, but Karen was spotted in Central Park, then fired from her job yesterday when this went viral.
The shirt insinuates that both sides are equally at fault for what’s going on. AlternativeFactsRule can correct me if I’m misinterpreting.
It’s part ew for yang and part ew for the sentiment. The right in America is unquestionably reactionary. The only option for “forward” here is “left.” Lying about that does nobody any good and is just more misinformation that contributes to the stupidity of our electorate.
