I really love this show and recommend it to all my friends. Hopefully it gets a few more seasons at least. They cover about 2 books a season and there are 10 out currently. Next season should cover 5 and 6 assuming it is renewed and funded by Netflix.
The body count per episode is laughable, but I really don't care as I find myself thoroughly enjoying each episode. I have 2 questions, 1 I think relates to last season or the first 2 eps of season 2, and the other relates specifically to episode 3 and 4 of season 2. Spoiler: Question 1 How did Young Odda die? I can't remember for some weird reason. I'm surprised because I legit hated the fucker. (Who didn't?) Spoiler: Question 2 What was the name of Uhtred's slave friend? He was sold to slavery with Halig, but then the third guy was Irish. Finan?
1. Young Odda betrayed Alfred after the Dane's sacked Winchester. While Alfred and Uhtred hid in the marshes, young odda met with Guhtred and the Danes and made a treaty. Then Alfred showed back up. Young Odda refused to acknowledge Alfred as king saying he already had his chance. Old Odda then seeing Alfred in the town hall listening, decides to stab Young Odda in the neck killing him. Old Odda then asks forgiveness to Alfred for what his son did. Alfred refused. 2. Finan was the Irish slave that Uhtred met on the boat. Halig died on the boat.
i love this show. didn't realize there was a thread for it; had just made a few posts in the generic netflix thread on the main board. i have a couple of episodes left of The Honourable Woman and then i'll crush season three. i think this show is better than GoT.
Spoiler i thought maybe he would have told Ragnar the plan of his cousin.... sucks they killed him off.
So good, arguably my current favorite show. Someone please kill Alfred's wife next season, ugly cunt.
Yeah I can’t stand that bitch. I thought they were about to take the story arch to where she controlled her son and controlled the kingdom.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Saxon_Stories#Name_of_the_series_of_novels he's still writing the books and there's enough material for at least two more seasons (if they stay consistent with the 2 books to 1 show like they supposedly have been doing).
While undeniably beautiful, perhaps because I'm no longer 19 or a 9th century Dane, trying to have sex with Skade doesn't seem worth the price of admission.
I got the first book for Christmas or a birthday whenever there was already a sequel. I liked the story. But Cronwell described every man as "tall" and I remember being annoyed thinking, "If everyone is tall then they are all of average height."
I have Last Kingdom up there with Vikings for me and Vikings is one of the best shows I have ever watched.
Watched the first 2 seasons over this weekend. Loving it so far, well everything except for the theme music. DESTINY IS ALL WOOOOO AHHHHHLAHDLKHFALSDKFALKDH;FAE;AWFH;EKHFA;KJSDH;AKJGH
