Did a quick skim and it seems more like his distrust of the "Deep State" is what is making him pro-Trump'ish
You are some kind of UNC/SCAR mongrel fratboy. You literally couldn't be any further away from the end of the spectrum of demographics whose opinions I value.
Can't fucking stand Jeff Sessions. Go after marijuana. Make bathrooms an issue again. Dismantle any reforms on private prisons. Fuck off.
When it's working in a sweat shop, sure. When it's playing college football in exchange for a free education, it's not. Your point is completely asinine.
meanwhile, in the Commonwealth of Virginia... http://www.richmond.com/news/virgin...cle_577d459f-bebb-5e69-8d9b-71c0b596c474.html
Draining the swamp update: Jeb Hesarling (R TX) is the Chair of the House Financial Services Committee. He is on the media circuit informing everyone that he will introduce legislation to eliminate the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. The CFPC was created out of the 2008 banking collapse as a response to predatory mortgage lending practices among other abuses. It is an independent agency which has returned 11 billion to consumers through enforcement actions since created. Hesarling, literally, called that "tyranny" and "an affront to basic tenets of American democracy." http://www.housingwire.com/articles/39272-hensarling-compares-cfpb-to-a-tyranny Nothing to see here, just draining the swamp.
Our rewards system is changing at work and the points don't carry over. Rather than blow the 15 points I had left on something meaningless, i used it to give clean water to someone for 6 months. It's small but it feels good.
Thoughts on With Friends Like These? The premise of trying to get and better understand the Trump voter's POV is interesting to me, but that felt more accusatory more than anything. It was just he first pod, but Im pretty lukewarm on it after 1 ep.
20 min in, nothing too ground breaking. But I also live in Kansas and interact with rural folk. I don't think having the pastor was the best choice because he's not having to defend his positions. Keeps saying "my people this, my people that."
I'm just glad someone in Washington is finally standing up for the rights of the poor, oppressed, and exploited banks against this tyranny.
Why would I be upset with you? You had the most unintentionally funny post of the week on here. 99.99% of this board couldn't be that entertaining if they tried, and I think we all know how hard some of them do try. By all means, keep the pearls flowing.
I know. I was hoping for some drive by dawg style banter on a Friday. Ricky is more of a ad hominem marine Todd type. Not a lot of fun.
I think you are confusing amusement with anger. Chicago Seminole person was clearly angered by the Jenna Jameson thread whereas I was clearly amused by his embarrassing reaction. The whole Farva/manperm drama is similarly amusing.
I'm Not angry at all. Porn is normal. I'm talking about conspicuous hedonistic consumption as a tool to manipulate the masses and referencing psychoanalysis. When I say porn actresses are the epitome of alienation and exploitation I'm talking about Marxism, not feminism. I mostly hate feminists. You are amused because you dont understand. It's amusing to me. My first sentence in that post was An reference to Zizek. It was intentionally histrionic. You should read him.
The most amusing part of that post was your claim of intentional histrionics. I do have a feeling that some things come very naturally to you. Literally nobody understood your post because it was so, so ludicrously constructed and smacked of self-conscious, onanistic pedantry and try-hard, fake hustle progressive windmill tilting more than the elucidation of any remotely salient points. Perhaps you should move past Ambien for the next unfurling of buzzword ridden gibberish you deign to visit upon us all in the name of further enlightenment.
tboon's posts over the past few days remind me of the times when i waited too long to start a paper in college and took too much adderall in order to finish it
Democrats better do the right thing tomorrow. If Ellison isn't elected, it's clear that the corp wing of the party will never relinquish control no matter the cost. I want Ellison to win because a Democratic party with liberals and progressives united have a chance to rebound big in '18 and '20. A splintering of the party could mean big things down the road, but will cost all of us in the next decade.
