Black vote has been slipping since 2008 which, if you recognize what happened that year, simply means they're returning to pre-Obama levels. Black women aren't the issue either (91% for Biden) but black men, who are more likely than black women to identify as conservative or vote conservative. You're never going to be able to peel away that chunk of the black vote that comes from heavily religious conservatives, that is unless you just want to run a black candidate every year to try and retain the very small percentage of the population we're discussing (95% of black men went for Obama in 2008, 80% for Biden, so 15% of roughly 6% of the country, assuming black women are about the other 6% to hit the 12% black population total).

Anecdotal story - my old boss called me up 5-6 weeks ago and offered me a job to come back. He went over how I could go salary or hourly. I was like hourly oh most definitely, at a little bit under what my salary worth would be. Today they held off making me work a bunch of over time because it would be too expensive, I worked 5-6 extra hours overtime a couple weeks ago and increased my paycheck by 33%. My old boss is a good dude, or I wouldn't have gone back to work for him. Cares about his employees as people, but the system makes people grind shit out.
