I know Bechard has got KU going the last few years. I honestly don’t track it a whole lot, but I know the gym they use will get rockin they host good teams.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a men’s VB game on TV or heard anyone even talk about it, so probably not a hot take imo.
That’s what I’m basing it off of. Also those tiny Libero’s diving all over saving points is incredible to watch.
I guess I was thinking NCAA level. But even there it feels like a lot of sports overshadow Men’s VB, maybe I just don’t pay close enough attention.
It's not a hot take. They are both very enjoyable to watch but for different reasons. More people tend to follow/prefer women's VB more because their games have actual rally's therefore it's a bit more unpredictable in that way. Men's VB is super entertaining imo but it can tend to be a game of one team serves...other team bumps, sets, spikes and that's it. Then it's the other teams turn to do the same and there's not as much variation or rally's. It's because, as you would expect, the men just jump so much higher and hit the ball so much harder that they make it so difficult for themselves to defend. In a 5-10 min window of watching the mens game is mind-blowing. Don't get me wrong...I'll watch every minute of both men's & women's indoor during the Olympics though.
Men's volleyball is incomprehensible. The women hit hard, but the men look like they're going to murder someone
Yep. In the women's game they hit hard just not compared to the men. Women's highlights are full of people flying around, diving everywhere, hitting the ball, saving it, etc... Men's highlights are dudes jumping so high their waist is at the top of the net and then hitting the ball so hard that it's difficult to follow. Both cool to watch...one just lends itself to more variation
Women’s BB is dying. The numbers for youth teams declines every year. said it for years, but in softball they have shorter bases and fences, VB the nets are shorter, it’s crazy they refuse to consider dropping the women’s bb rim to 8.5 feet so dunking and non-3 pointer scoring is easier and more exciting to play and watch.
If you lower women’s basketball rims, you immediately make nearly every playground in America inaccessible for girls to play their sport.
It clearly is. Aside from the eye candy, it’s the proper amount of athleticism to have good competition and back and forth volleys. The talent in men’s is too good that the play doesn’t last as long. I feel like volleyball, gymnastics and maybe tennis are the three sports where I prefer to watch women.

Lady Husks just started @ Indiana on BTN right now and speaking of the growth of the game like we were yesterday, they said that Indiana sold this game out which is the first time in the entire 5 yr history they've been playing in their current arena. Way to go Hoosiers!
Yeah, look like a young team learning how to win on the road which is what we are. I do think Indiana will come back down to earth and we'll get more comfortable
We had 0 blocks first set, and 10 total errors. Yeah, that won’t happen again. allick hit -.250. Benched!
One of the nice things about being able to recruit pretty much exclusively top 10 ranked recruits every year. If one is having an off night there is another one behind them that probably won't.
So, there were 2 challenges in that set that went our way and the TV coverage cameras definitely looked like they shouldn't. I guess they always say that the replay has access to more angles so mlit must've been that. I would be pissed if I were an Indiana fan watching that lol. We'll take it though!
