Sounds like they will announce ad-tier supported options in addition to what they already have. I could be down with it. I have the Disney+ bundle that has the ad-level Hulu and I deal with it just fine.
I will not do the ad version even if it's $1/month. We had the hulu one once and it was brutal. They did that trick where they'd jack up the commercial volume and it drove me nuts
Netflix has the Dark crew locked in as well as Narcos and Stranger Things. Ima fuck with that shit but $20 a month is fucking insane for that. I’ll pay less with ads to watch that
Where is the info about ads coming from? They just jacked the 4K up to $20 a month and now they’ll be ads? Haven’t seen that
It's all over the internet. They''l eventually be introducing separate, ad-supported plans. Fucking read people, I literally already posted that exact same thing.
the ceo said it in the earning call bec their earnings were shit for the quarter and aren't expected to get better anytime soon. Stock took a massive dump because of it
Too subjective for a definitive answer. You could make arguments for Disney and Apple. Even HBO. Just depends on your household and viewing habits.
Hmmmmmmm. I guess right now I watch either HBOMax or Apple the most. A lot of Paramount+ as well, but mostly Star Trek.
HBO max is the best and it’s not even close. Batman is playing rn in 4K a month after release. Dune was there similarly
Nathan was in a complete panic mode when he pulled out the proposal out of nowhere. It was amazing how he then tried to wildly rip on people who dared tell him that that wasn't a special moment. April bragging to the girls during that meet-up that Jake had creampied her every time they had ever had sex wasn't a comment I was ready for. Madilyns friends are awful humans. Hunter seems like a reasonable/nice person, so I have no idea what he's doing with Alexis. Colby is a sociopath....liked when Zaye almost punched him. Madilyn walking out very pregnant to start reunion show was surprising...not as surprising as Rae not being with Jake because she's dating a girl now.
One of these days I’m going to invent a service that packages all of these streaming networks into one subscription. I think I’ll call it Not Cable
As a guy who makes electric cars, certainly climate change is the biggest crisis we face, right? WRONG
Really enjoyed For All Mankind, particularly season 2. Servant is a pretty solid 30 minute bingeable show as well.
I have so many thoughts on the show, but have no idea what say. What a crazy premise for a show that is terrible for all those relationships.
Ok, anybody else watch the Jimmy Savile doc? Man WTF! The guy never had any significant others and was weird AF. How the hell was he able to do all that shit. Fucked up and crazy it took his death for them to sort it
Haha. Thought the same thing. I want to hate something as much as she hates Colby. And her friends just going in on him….did they even show them ever getting along? Seemed you would see a talk that would inevitably lead to an argument every time.
Trying to think of all the shows Netflix has that are worth keeping it. Witcher Squid Games Ozark I think you should leave Vikings The Kingdom (not sure if they’re doing another season) Narcos, but I think it’s over now.
The only thing I can think of to why she would marry him is that he may have a ton of family money, as shown by him taking April to play polo. But, he's also a sociopath/pathological liar so who knows.
There's a short documentary called Dancing with Birds that's one of the most fascinating things I've ever seen
BoJack Horseman Peaky Blinders Dark Castlevania I Think You Should Leave Aletered Carbon (season 1 at least) Narcos Narcos Mexico Ozark (I stuck with it and thought it got much better in season 3, haven't watched new season yet) Kingdom I need to watch Stranger Things, Giri/Haji, Ganglands, Top Boy, Squid Game, Bloodlines (maybe?) and Black Summer season two Godless and Bodyguard were excellent but short the TV content is excellent IMO. It's the movies where they let me down
some others i have that i haven't seen mentioned arcane (league of legend anime) dota (dota anime) castlevania attack on titan cobra kai sex education elite mindhunter top boy lupin voir i think you should leave the crown master of none call my agent how to sell drugs online fast big mouth the queen's gambit club de cuervos bojack horseman etc etc it seems like their push of low production cost "reality" shows and true crime shows have diluted their brand but they still do a bunch of really good stuff
I’ll say it again and I’m probably the biggest simp ever but Dark is the greatest show of all time. They got a long way to go to prove to me they’re no longer capable of such brilliance
As always, everyone sleeping on Bad Blood. I'll have to champion it again when the new season comes out later.
plex actually does this. It combines all your services and you Plex library and if you do a search it will tell you which of your subscriptions has what you’re looking for
Yeah, movies suck, but shows and docs have been good. Making a Murderer, Tiger King, etc., haven’t been mentioned either
