Finished. The book was good. I think I would have enjoyed it/gotten more from it if I hadnt just watched the doc. 80% of it covers exactly what the doc did. I guess there’s so few BR survivors, they’ve all said everything they’re gonna say. There’s not much new on it. Also reading it confirms my initial thoughts on McVeigh. But Waco did motivate thousands to move towards the militia movement. One interesting thing is the surviving BR members hate most of the militias now. They’re a supportive of the Emmon Brady types. But can’t stand most of them. They hate Trump, the 3%ers. Hate that theyre being used by white supremacists and other groups who cosplay at being religious as a rallying cry.
This must be all over social media My wife just started watching it today Tonight she informed me she's almost done with it and I haven't even gotten to the trailer yet
Show turned out to be really good. Acting didn't get any better, but the story played out really well
I just finished episode 1, and I'm hooked. Originally I was hoping this would be a film. But other A24 tv shows (Mo and Ramy are well made)have been good, so I'll stay tuned.
Thought night agent talk was about the night manager but had titles mixed up. Night manager was great, wish it wasn’t a mini-series
Planned on watching an episode or two last night before I fell asleep. Ended up making it through 8 episodes. Watching the last 2 this morning. Ali Wong and Steven Yeun are fantastic and this will end up being in a lot of people's top show list at the end of the year.
Grievance on episode 1 of night agent. There’s 2 assassins in main dude’s apartment and the FBI agents know this and enter without their guns drawn. Intrigued by the show but question its seriousness after this blunder
Caught up on love is blind, curious peoples predictions: Kwame isn’t saying yes, and Chelsea is a lunatic. Bliss isn’t saying yes, but she has some absolute hammers. Zach is weird and awkward but I think both of them are decent individuals. Tiffany and Brett are getting hitched. They’re both good, I like them. Micah and Paul might both say no. They’re both super weird, I don’t really like either of these two.
Kwame and Chelsea.. Hell no. Can’t stand Chelsea Zach is a weirdo.. no Tiff and Brett: yes Micah and Paul: Yes. Micah grew on me Jasmine is as bad as Irina. Just sucks. With that said, Marshall was too nice of a guy. They were a horrible match from start.
seriously… 3 episodes in and it’s pretty corny. There is some awful acting and ridiculously unrealistic dumb shit. It’s fine to pass the time but mehhh so far.
Bosswoman sucked me into this dumb show because my dumbass picked it. She made me finish! I begged her no. She forced me! No apparently doesn't mean no. The ending is beyond cringe and the actors should never act again in general.
VP’s daughter took a strong lead on awful acting in e8, congrats to her I’m close to giving up, it’s like Outer Banks with a better plot
First episode of BEEF was ok, ending was great, tho. Will continue to watch, just bc this thread talks about it so highly.
I watched the Boston bomber thing yesterday and enjoyed it. I was glued to my phone during those 4-5 days and still learned some new stuff from the doc. some of the footage they have from the battle in Watertown was insane.
I thought it finished really strong for what it was. I was ready to call it cheesy a few episodes in but found myself enjoying it on the back half.
I really like Transatlantic as a series. But, Gillian Jacob’s acting in this series is so bad/distracting that I’m wondering how she got casted for this role. It’s as if they told to act just like Britta from Community. But set against the backdrop of Nazis invading France.
I think I have added and deleted Night Agent from My List like 5 times because of this thread. So many mixed reviews. Also, I am three eps in on BEEF and not loving it. I'm usually aligned with TMB, but just cant get into this one
I’m three episodes in too and I like it but not seeing it as the best show ever like people have been saying
I did but it was years ago. I just don't remember her being this distracting. Maybe it's because she's the most recognizable face besides Corey Stoll. But she legit sounds like a millennial dropped into a WW2 situation to me.
I liked Beef (although didn’t love the finale) but I’ve told my friends if you don’t like the first ep or two then it’s not for you and just move on. Its style or substance doesn’t change throughout the season.
Bodyguard is kind of ridiculous and all over the place but def. better than Night Agent. So thanks to whoever suggested that.
