I very vividly remember sitting on the floor as a class (our whole grade gathered in one room) around a TV watching it live I was very confused as to what happened, didn't understand it just blew up and I remember being confused why they turned off the TV and rushed us back to our classroom before the spaceship reappeared from the smoke Being one of our teachers had to be mortifying
It's not on Netflix or any streaming platform but... The movie Nobody is actually pretty good. It's mindless entertainment that's not going to win any awards but it does its job. Weird casting when you consider it's Bob Odenkirk doing his best John Wick impersonation with a hint of Mr. & Mrs. Smith thrown in plus Doc Brown from Back to the Future toting a shotgun, killing Russian mobsters. It somehow works though
Didn't realize Savages is on Netflix. Has it been on there long? Big fan of that movie, and the books it is based off (Savages and Kings of Cool by Don Winslow).
It’s been on there awhile. I saw it in theaters and the theater was empty and thought how sad that was for a pretty good movie. It’s a little disjointed in places but overall great.
I tried two episodes and couldn't do it, just not my type of show. Probably held it up to the other Sherlock shows and movies and shouldn't see it that way. Told my wife to watch it without me as she liked it.
Everyone I know around my age group, including me, has this same story. We were in the cafeteria and I just remember one of the kids saying, did it blow up? And then looking at all the teachers frantically turning off the tv and getting our attention on something else
Has anyone seen Freaks with Emile Hirsch (I actually thought it was Jack Black at first glance, srs? Huge fan of his, so I'm strongly considering. About to watch a kids movie called Miniscule Valley of the Ants on prime. It can also be seen here but the resolution is cheeks.
So one thing that strangely bothers me about this is that the actual explosion didn't kill them. They are thought to have all survived the initial explosion, but only died after the cabin hit the water. After watching that doc, it depresses me to think that there's yet another way they may have been able to survive.
This movie was a treat. Highly recommend. Would definitely make my top 10 list I posted. I know everyone hated I'm Thinking of Ending Things but I started it today. I've read the book, so I know what happens. Maybe it won't be so bad with tempered expectations -- like Cloud Atlas.
Still working through this. Before I Fall was solid as fuck. By far the best movie i've seen on here so far.
Rush is on Netflix -- just realized. One of my fav movies of the 2010s. I know a lot of people have seen it, but if you haven't it's a must watch imo.
Finished "Who Killed Sara", in spanish, about a guy that's setup for the murder of his sister. Gets out of prison and is trying to bring down the rich family that set him up. Decent plot, and the chicks are pretty hot. I give it a B - B+
I had the same issue that I had with the water tank girl one; seems like they spend more time on wild speculation vs "here's what happened"
Netflix original, Wormwood is #1 on this list. I somehow missed this the first time through. Who watched it back then? https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/movies/a52209/best-movies-of-2017/
Even though this still holds true I gave her another shot and watched Miss Sloane which is on Netflix. Unlike Ava, I do recommend. Super dialogue heavy movie but pretty damn good. Worth a watch next time you're looking for a decent drama movie.
going through the first two seasons of Castlevania again before digging into season 3. I love how violent this show is
I dug it, but sometimes it would stress me out how frantic Knippenberg would get. I also would get frustrated with the French chick that kept going back to the apartment to investigate stuff
Might be the biggest piece of shit per star casted I've seen in awhile. Just terrible acting. The scenes were shot so haphazardly too. Spoiler One second Common was a degenerate gambler. A gun falls into his lap and he's miraculously James Bond - Awful
Yep. Started to watch it. Made it through 2nd episode, but was pretty bored throughout, so it's been tabled indefinitely.
Castlevania S4 was great. Some of Netflix’s best original stuff as of late especially if you’re into animation. Really sad the show is done though there’s rumor of a spin-off.
Watching this Grand Designs show it’s great Usually it’s a fucking disaster Black Hills episode is wow
