If Netflix charged $20 a month I bet they could absolutely murder the movie industry. I legit don't understand why they don't. Come out and say the increase is to compete with Hollywood and bring bigger budget, more expansive movies and TV shows to your screen. Essentially we want to compete with the Marvel universe and also create the next Game of Thrones.
I'd be happy if they avoid these two universes completely. Also, if they ever charged $20 a month. They better bring more to the table than that. It's pretty clear that within the next two years. Netflix will have a TON of content.
I think they are still figuring out their place as far as films go. Hollywood still finds netflix to be a bit taboo in some circles (I don't agree with this. But it doesn't shock me as far as Hollywood circles are concerned).
Their existence allowed me to cut the cord and save like $120. I'm not going to complain about a $10 rate increase if it makes the content just that much better.
It's definitely the number one app I use on my amazon box. I dropped HBOGO because I have other options as far as their content goes. Amazon prime/studios doesn't have the same type of content that Netflix does (That's not to say Amazon is terrible. But they could do better).
Whoa whoa whoa. Let's not talk crazy here. I'd hate to have to walk away (which I'm entirely prepared to do at any further rate increase)
I'd also probably draw the line for me at $20 currently for Netflix. For me YouTube TV is more of a bargain at $40 than Netflix is for $15 which is around what I currently pay for it. Those two are basically the only services I use for TV entertainment and it's probably 90% YTTV and 10% Netflix.
it's a quick watch, if you think it looks interesting go for it. I just wasn't a big fan of it overall. there were some parts I enjoyed.
I like to think of it as a cross between S1 of Legion & Black Mirror in some ways. Also, I watched Hold the Dark the other night. Anyone else watch this yet?
I didn't like it as much as "Blue Ruin" or "The Green Room". That being said, after sitting on the ending for a few days. I think it's one of the better Netflix Original films out there currently. Also, if you are looking for a Netflix horror film this October....
Really liked a lot about the ritual, but I have a few big nitpicks with it. Worth watching though for sure.
I’m not sure if this thread is reserved for original content or classic films but Heat is on Netflix and I’m back on my bullshit, watching it for the thousandth time
This was the featured trailer when I fired Netflix up and it sucked me in, about 20 minutes deep and it's terrifying
Have no idea why I kept watching but I finished the season. It was bad and I feel bad for watching it
A few episodes into Hill House. Will definitely keep watching. Ghosts hidden all over the place in the background
Was looking to see if there was an official thread on Hill House. I can only watch it on my lunch break with the lights on.
I liked it but it was definitely weird as fuck. There were a lot of mixed metaphors I had trouble following Spoiler did you pick up that the dude and his wife were brother and sister? I've seen the first 3, didn't see the last one. It's pretty good but nothing groundbreaking
Was absolutely terrible. Is beyond terrific. And no fuckin way I'm gonna switch the laundry in the basement right now.
Fuck Hill House why does nobody in this family talk about the fucked up shit going on with everyone else. Starting with episode 5 this series is very intense and uncomfortable. Big fan. 2eps left and probably have the best dreams ever when I finish Spoiler: ep8 Theo even calls out this nonsense. “We’re really not gonna tell them what we just saw” Word Theo. What the fuck. Two of you see the same zombie ghost bullshit and 15min later you’re not gonna even bring it up to two other people currently standing in the same room... get the fuck outta here. Dad and younger brother talking about “seeing stuff that’s not so normal” no don’t be coy about that shit dad a zombie ghost mom tried to pull me into a grave while my hung ass sister watched. Can we talk about the house and what happened? Nope.
Amazing show. Very edge of your seat thriller. Was 1am last night and I just had to watch another hour long ep. Spoiler The ghosts everywhere in the background are great to spot and they literally are everywhere
