Miami @ Pittsburgh (-3) Syracuse @ FSU (-10.5) Virginia (-2.5) @ Louisville Duke @ UNC (-4) BC @ Clemson (-36.5)
TBH Noles Id be hesitant to target Drinkwitz. He took over a loaded App team that Satterfield built up for several years, and App has proven you can win there over multiple coaches now. I’d give him 2 more years to show it’s actually his coaching ability.
I liked this post but our run D was top 5 or something in the nation- obviously nobody saw BC running for 400 more yards than our average. No idea what happened. Our secondary is in ruins from injury but the DL/LBs have been good all year until that shit show.
before BC, the best rushing team that you've faced, according to the stats, was Ball State at 46th. that's really bad.
Then we dominated opponents we were supposed to dominate, in terms of rush D. We’ve consistently been a top rush D in the ACC under Doeren, yesterday not withstanding. I can’t believe you’ve got me defending any part of this shit team.
That was my thought. He's probably a good coach but he walked into a great situation so I don't really know if you cant judge him yet. For better or worse I figure you guys are gonna fall on that grenade next year.
I’d be fine with that but doubt Doeren is gone before 2021 even with a new AD. I just want Ledford back from Louisville tbh.
I know it's always been "Clemson and everyone else" the past couple years but it really is funny how when the spreads come out, most of them are 3-7 points and Clemson is laying 25+ against whoever they're playing.
My somewhat realistic projections for how Costal 4-4 could happen: UVA 3-1 @ Louisville - L @ UNC - L GT - W VT - L Pitt 2-1 Miami - W @ GT - L UNC - W @ VT - L BC - L VT 2-2 WF - L @ GT - L Pitt - W @ UVA - W Duke 2-2 @ UNC - L Syracuse - W @ Wake - W Miami - L UNC 2-2 Duke - W UVA - W @ Pitt - L @ NCSt - L MIA 1-3 @ Pitt - L @ FSU - W Louisville - W @ Duke - W GT 1-3 Pitt - W @ UVA - L VT - W NCSt - W Please do not read this too carefully I'm sure I screwed something up.
if you want to see how useless the transitive property is in sports, try the ACC. Clemson is only 1 point better than UNC who is 2 points worse than VT who is 35 points worse than Duke who is 34 points worse than UVA who is 8 points worse than Miami who is 7 points worse than GT who is 3 points worse than The Citadel. basically The Citadel is like 90 points better than Clemson I'm pretty sure.
To be fair I just took the Atlantic teams and assigned them whatever was easiest because they didn't have to fit with the rest of the puzzle. But...
They scored on a sack fumble in the endzone, a 40 yard fake punt, and a 35 yard pass on a blown coverage. We also played a walk-on LB for the entire 2nd half. Missed 29 tackles. missed 3 FG of 35 yds or less. Also, had the worst spot of all time on 4th down to end the game. That's how you lose to GT.
I simply cannot wait to see the kicking game between fsu and miami. My guess is that it will come down to who misses fewer PATs
this is actually a step back for GT, usually they had TD of 60-70 yards on blown coverages under Paul Johnson.
We shouldn't even play the full game. Just make it a sudden death FG-off. Put one team on one end and the other team on the other end. Kick 10 FGs of different distances and angles. If somehow the FGs made are the same then the team that did it in the fastest time wins.
The 2019 UM vs FSU Special Teams Extravaganza. Loser shuts down their program for 2 years to try and regroup.
The rest of the ACC should play an eliminator style season where the winning team in each game selects 5 players to swap with the losing team. Then, at the end of the season, the team with the most wins plays Clemson.
The fact that ESPN had a damn Jimmy Murphy cam that followed him whenever he got in the game and had multiple segments talking about him tells you all you need to know about the state of Miami under Peepee Diaz. The school that gave you Michael Irvin, Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Big Vince, Jim Kelly, 6 first rounders in one draft now has a 5-6 walk-on getting a majority of the TV time smfh.
