I think it's still the game most likely to get alumni into town. Some schools may notice this less than others but for VT (and possibly UVA to a degree) our grads tend to move 4-6 hours away and either head to NOVA/DC or the Research Triangle so going to home games is an actual commitment and requires hotels and whatnot, many can't just leave the house and be in a lot an hour later. Because of the importance homecoming used to have I think it still affects alumni organizations in the same way so it still ends up mattering in that sense so people that may only have a shot at one or two games a year will likely try to do homecoming since it's more likely that others will be in town as well, sort of a self-fulfilling thing. If you mean the ceremony and whatnot, of course not.
Current ACC historic win totals, because Fuck Maryland. When it hits 2010 https://public.flourish.studio/visualisation/834932/
I prefer to start it in 1948 when fsu started playing football and thus ends up with more wins than anyone else over the last 60 years
of course our surfer bro said Jack Johnson and I always knew Clawson was the best coach in this conference
That graphic is a prime example of why fsu is poor. Most schools have 3 or 4 generation start at building an alumni base.
collins going with some reggae band that i had to google to learn about. also figured Clawson for a P&W guy.
I can't figure out if Swoffy's favorite band is "Oliver" the musical or "Oliver" this duo of random DJs from Vancouver I found on Wikipedia. I can't decide which is more likely.
I'm not sure if you're joking but it's the below (who is his brother). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_(singer)
random question but yes not as many tho. the old pics where its just in a forest look awesome and i wish i coulda seen it
Was some Halloween inspired thing, at least that's what I got from the funny accompanying video where he's awakwardly shaking it to simulate holding a running chainsaw
I thought Devito would be good this year, I guess that's what I get for reading too much into a 4th quarter comeback against a two win UNC
Doeren isn’t a bad coach and he can develop talent really well, but it’s hard to imagine much excitement this offseason based on results to date. Recruiting against Mack is going to be brutal, even if State manages to beat UNC (or Clemson or whoever).
IMHO he is a B-/B coach and a C recruiter. Based on that, he's the ideal guy for them to have. I feel like a good coach could make something happen over there and every firing might allow them a shot at the lottery. Doeren isn't bad enough to fire and isn't good enough for me to worry about in terms of them being really good. He's ideal.
He really fucked himself every off season by keeping Dave Huxtable as DC. Then we lose Drinkwitz to App last year and don’t want to fire Hux and need to replace both coordinators at once. Now our Co-OC is a shit show AND our DC still sucks. Doeren has backed himself into a bad spot. Our new AD will push him to make changes, I hope.
