big gap between being given an opportunity to contend and having the ability to actually contend. is the point i was making.
As a proud (original) member of the ACC I personally have won every conference and national title that my fellow members have. It’s a family around here.
Would any of our fellow members have won a national title without the valuable practice, support, and challenges the other conference members provided during the regular season? Well.... it's hard to say.
this is official now btw have to agree with it don't want to scare away their commits just before signing day
Haven't been following closely but doesn't their class suck? I thought that was one of the reasons he might be gone.
Has there ever been a stronger conference for qbs? ACC was just absurd this year. Lawrence, howell, book, king, jordan travis, etc.
Yeah, but it usually comes with some over-involved explanation about how they don't want the guy. This seems unspinnable
More seriously, the program needs a lot of attrition. These aren’t the guys we wanted to lose, but we should see a lot going to the portal.
No lie, some of my best friends are VT fans but if that's true you should can your guy sooner and not later
Only 1 OL that transferring started majority of games and didn’t start the last. The QB also didn’t start half the games. So it’s whatever.
I’ll give you that, but he didn’t start the year or end the year as the starter. Either way one of them was going to leave.
Ok, I am probably the only UNC fan that isn't salty about VT. Just seems to someone who doesn't hate you that your recruiting sucks and that your transfers lately are. .....inconvenient
Valid. The thing is college football has changed with the creation of the transfer portal. There is now a clear path to someone leaving your program. So a guy who isn’t fully happy with their spot has an easier way to leave. So instead of staying and battling for a spot or sitting on the bench can move on. I think you’ll be likely to see guys want to move on more of the team isn’t winning. It’s not as fun to not be a starter and on the bench when your team isn’t winning. So is it a problem, yes, is it a huge referendum on the program, I think not really.
Cite? I'm sure you've thought this through, but you realize your revenue share wouldn't be as high as it is without our quasi-membership? It's hard to imagine it being worse, but oh it could be
by accepting you as a full member and your meager contribution from your NBC contract, each teams share of the revenue is less. I am happy that ND is running back to their independent status in shame.
