Who paid off the ODU coach at halftime. Fuck that. That's complete bullshit to do that to your players!
It was an awful call - One that wouldn’t have even had a great payoff if they converted. Our offense has like 100 yards and 7 points. Pretty much the only way to lose is to give them a short field.
Week 5 Friday Duke @ Virginia Tech (-6.5) Saturday Holy Cross @ Syracuse Delaware @ Pittsburgh Clemson (-28.5) @ UNC Virginia @ Notre Dame (-10.5) Georgia Tech @ Temple (-9) Wake Forest (-3.5) @ Boston College NC State @ FSU (-6)
#Florida State Seminoles where is the best place to park without a pass for games these days? Have a couple of State buddies from FL going. The last time I was there for the 2013 bludgeoning, we parked near the bball arena but that appears to be a booster lot now from some cursory research.
I have nothing to offer you. I just want to note that NCSU has the worst fanbase I’ve encountered at Doak. I am never happy when any of you make the journey. I was complimentary of Louisville fans showing up, however.
Playing @FSU will always make me think of Andre Brown's first carry of the game in 2005. Sucks injuries slowed down his career, but this was a beast of a start for him.
My first 2 years of undergrad were his last 2 years and it shouldn't be possible that that was 11 years ago.
like I said it's literally all I care about, gets us to GT the following week with a strong possibility of being 3-3 heading into the bye, although an early TD for Kenan to get excited about would be nice too gonna be a massacre in the trenches
Was at that game. Highly frustrating. I think we blocked a punt late in the game to try and set up a tying or go ahead score and our offense couldnt get it done.
Yep, just checked: 2005: NC State 20-15 in Tallahassee. First and only Wolfpack-Seminoles game I have attended in Tallahassee. Andre Brown ran for 65 yards and a touchdown on play number one. He ran for 179 yards on the day. Marcus Stone threw a TD pass to Anthony Hill. Coach Amato won for the second time in Tallahassee. Drew Weatherford threw 3 interceptions, which offset not one but two blocked punts by the Seminoles. Second block of the 4th quarter and still couldnt do shit with it:
DABO'S RELATIONSHIP WITH MACK BROWN Spoiler Swinney was asked about his relationship with future Hall of Fame coach Mack Brown. "I'm excited about competing with coach Brown. Obviously one of the best to ever coach the game. And one of the best people to coach the game. He's a true gentleman. One of the most respected people in this business. "I might have met him as a GA in '93 at Alabama. We played UNC in the Gator Bowl. Might have shaken hands after the game, but I don't remember. "I get the Clemson job in '09 and once I got that first recruiting class over with, early February, I put some calls out. I wanted to go visit some people. I didn't get that chance as an interim. You just jump in and tie it in the middle and hang on both ends. So I was excited to start fresh with an offseason program, planning, spring practice, start to get the processes and philosophies and things that I believed in in place. I reached out to a few people, and Mack was the only person who said, 'Yeah, come on.' And I didn't know him from Adam. I called and left a message and he called me back like he had known me forever. He was like, 'Yeah man, come on out here. We'd love to have you." DABO'S RELATIONSHIP WITH MACK BROWN PART II "We took the whole staff. Literally everybody. Strength coach, everybody. And everybody was gracious. "Coach (Will) Muschamp was awesome. He was the d-coordinator, very gracious. "We were obviously studying ball, x-and-o things, but I was just hoping to get a little time with Mack, just some head coaching things. 'Hey am I on the right track here?' Bounce some things off him. And shoot, he spent hours with me. I just soaked it up. It was great. He was very patient with me. I had all my questions, and I just went from one to the other. And he would answer like three of them at a time because he could read my mind. So it was really cool for me. "I learned some things of what not to do, too. I think you learn good and bad everywhere you go. "He took all of us to dinner one night. All of us. We watched one practice. I had never been to Austin, Texas. Beautiful campus. I wanted to see their facilities too. Academics, you name it. But I'll never forget it. We were getting ready to go to practice. We get on a bus, and there's a literally an interstate that goes right over the practice field. It was wild. Because y'all obviously know the setting we got here... Wow look at the rainbow, look at the butterfly. There's a crow on the moat. I mean, you don't hear anything here. "The biggest thing is we became friends. He would send me texts along the way, encouraging me. Our wives would become friends." DABO'S RELATIONSHIP WITH MACK BROWN PART III "Then when Mack got the big-time job in the booth, he'd always text me and ask me my thoughts or keys to the game, and I'd give it to him. It's Mack Brown, I've got to give him my tidbits now. I'm waiting until Friday night-- that's usually when he'd hit me on Friday night at 8 p.m., 'Hope you're good. How about a few thoughts on the game?' "So I'm planning on sending him a text on Friday night wanting to know his keys to victory on Saturday. Best way to defend Clemson or whatever. We'll see if he responds." Swinney was asked if Brown shared anything about Texas' seemingly sudden fall-from-the-top under Brown. "Not anything I would share, nope. Y'all can ask him that. I just know he did an unbelievable job there. And he'll do a great job at UNC too. He understands North Carolina. He'll recruit well. The biggest thing is he'll build a foundation. I don't have any doubt that he'll get them going. And he's got a quarterback. He's got a guy he can build it around."
