my commute is south of Alabaster (yikes i know) so i'm not really worried about my drive to and from work, but more so going anywhere on the weekend and all that. Old O is a great track.
I do a good bit of work there and I imagine that you will love things about it and hate things about it. Once the Publix is open, I imagine it won't feel very far out.
Lived there from 2010-12. It didn’t feel that far out, but Birmingham has a lot more going on in the city now so I might think differently if I moved back. Used to hit up Miss Myra’s and Olive Branch a lot.
this quote lol “I wanted something to augment the cocktail scene here,” he said uh i mean i'm sure i'll try this place out and like it fine but about the last thing this city needs is yet another expensive ass cocktail bar
I live across the street. Ya'll should walk down to Ghost Train as well. I like their beer more and they have done a lot with the space. I've driven out there several times. They have the best blue cheese ever. We moved to Liberty Park in the late 90s as it was first being built, probably one of the first fifty or so houses. Basically lived in a construction zone for a few years. It was a great place to grow up. Not nearly as pretentious as MB. Great elementary and middle school. My parents finally moved out earlier this year. The commute had become a lot tougher over the last 5-10 years.
roommate is manager at ghost train so i get all that shit for free but yes pls support them. their beer is quite good.
Ghost Train is fine, but y'all are insane to say it's better than Trim Tab. Trim Tab is nationally good.
Feel like Ghost train was operating over capacity and the quality dipped. When their recipes are executed properly its some of my favorite beer anywhere.
Yeah, this. I’m a big fan of Ghost Train but Trim Tab brews the best beer in Birmingham and it’s really not close.
Did you shout, “This way is a water slide away from me that takes you further every day.....so be cool” when they played Say It Ain’t So?
Ran into Chris Hastings at the Publix Greenwise yesterday. The fishmonger also gave me one of those jambalaya cook in bag meals for free. Pretty solid grocery visit.
I used Old Time Chimney Sweep. They were able to schedule me pretty quick and did what I assume is pretty good work.
What kind of "man" doesn't sweep his own chimney? Probably don't even build your house with your own bare hands.
not released yet. chief questioned about it. based on his answers, sounds like they're still investigating to see if more people are involved. he did say there's no relationship between the suspects and the family.
news anchor just said the guy was also charged with unrelated child pornography (previously maybe?). so that makes me think the worst.
If there’s no connection to family, it’s awful to think about but rape and murder seems most likely. Just horrible.
My half assed theory is she was abducted to be sold to traffickers and the story gained a lot more notoriety than they expected so the seller backed out and they had to dump her. Fucking terrible. I hope these two as well anyone else associated with this rot.
Wasn’t she abducted after her mom dropped her off at a birthday party? This story is so fucking horrible. I feel compelled to donate or volunteer or something. Is there a go fund me for the funeral costs or something?
Had Eugene's hot chicken for dinner. That place is pretty pretty good. Went with hot but think I'll go a level up next time* *this opinion subject to change after tomorrow morning
Welp, Legion trying to bring us back to reality after that stoppage time win. Maaaaan 5 goals against in the first half woof
Pretty rough. A playoff win in our first year is a major success though. Excited for the future. I don't expect it to include Chandler Hoffman.
Oh for sure. After June, I was pretty sure we'd be dead. But, things got better. All the same, good we got exposed and can think about that for next season.
I keep hearing an ad for Black Market Bar and Grill having all the NFL games and 50 cent wings on Sunday's and I am increasingly thinking it might be worth checking out?
Their food and beer is good. The crowd can be hit or miss, but it’s a fine place to go. The one in the Colonnade is by my office, so I go there a lot.
Really disappointed in you Barves2125 https://www.al.com/news/birmingham/...usinesses-under-states-new-voyeurism-law.html
This has TheFreak55 all over it. That guy is probably a little more clean cut than I imagine Mr. Freak though.
