They’ll do docusign to close. The movers will do it. Two men and truck was operating in masks and gloves last week.
Closed a refi yesterday from my car. Attorney brought docs and clipboard, I signed everything in that car. Called when I was done and he got them and reviewed them and sent me on the way. Can you docusign things that need notary?
My grandfather got taken to the woodshed at an apple store one time. Everything is set up and he points to the space background saying he “has the cloud” I just nodded in agreement
Anyone been out to the grocery store today? Need to get some things but don’t want to waste my time if people are losing their minds again. Costco appears slammed
Publix had no chicken at all yesterday around 4. Very little beef. Fruit and veggies were fine. Some TP. Still managed to spend $350, though, mainly of different varieties of booze. Looking forward to chilling this box of rose
My neighbor was telling me that Restaurant Depot on Lakeshore has tons of food (you have to buy in bulk though). I’ve never been, so can’t vouch.
Aldi has been fine all week aside from paper products One Two but not sure if that's your cup of tea (or if it's different than yesterday now).
Went for super bowl supplies this year. Place is awesome and I wouldn’t say bulk purchases are necessarily a requirement. There’s single packaged stuff and individual produce items in there. Don’t miss the refrigerated portion of the warehouse to your right upon entry.
I've been about three times since this started. I've had to hit up multiple stores each trip, but I eventually found everything I needed except for TP. I finally decided to brave Walmart and they had plenty.
So, with this "stay at home" order...does the exercise provision mean I can get my kids up early and go for a hike at Ruffner? Or is that being a bad citizen? We've been very strict about the shelter-in-place (I'm the only one in my family going to the store, I take the same car every time, wipe down, etc.), but with little kids, it is nice to get them out. Usually we try to go at 7 or so so we are avoiding everyone else. We were at Red Mountain on Thursday, though, and it was packed by the time we left (9:30AM); no one was there when we started at 8AM.
As long as you don't have a need for emergency services or hospital care, I see no problem. The problem that the local governments have had with parks and public spaces were with mass gatherings, basketball courts and playground equipment.
Right. I've actually been pleasantly surprised that my kids are doing well about not touching stuff, so the hikes have been a life saver.
Were these guys difficult to track down? I've been trying to get a quote for two weeks. We'll talk on the phone, says to text him, I text, no call back etc...They act like they don't want the work.
i used a number ending in 8135 to text don and he always responded to texts. who knows maybe with all the shit going on they are laying low. PM me if you want his full number.
Friend that works at UAB just shared this through the group text; Spoiler: UAB Some of y’all have asked ab things in the hospital and I haven’t felt like we had a grasp of what to expect til now, but I think after more than a week of good data this may put some of your minds at ease (and hopefully not inundate you w more info that you don’t want). On 3/27 uab had 55 covid patients and yesterday we had 59. Of course in that same period the number of positives in AL went from 639 to >2000 but the total tested went from 4755 to ab 15,000. So as we test more of course the total positives will go up. But I think it’s important to hang onto the fact that the number of people needing hospitalization has been so stable. They are not all the same patients- a few new cases are admitted each day and some are being discharged! For the last three days straight we had 59 patients and today we got down to 49 positive patients!! For perspective, if it were spreading as fast as originally predicted then AL would have ab 18k cases instead of 2k. So the pesky social distancing is working! it’s definitely still very early but we have officially flattened the curve for the last three days....and are starting to be cautiously optimistic. Miss all y’all and looking forward to when we can be reunited again !!
Snakes One Two Don came by the house yesterday, we're good. Said he's been slammed with refund season and people being at home. Seems like a great guy, thanks for the rec.
Channeling tennis Chris Sunday severe weather set up looks very bad. Just making sure everyone knows since everything is upside down right now. I’m going to lean towards definitely losing power and have a cooler and ice ready so I don’t have to replace my whole fridge
Thanks. Had not thought about the fact my fridge and freezer are both at maximum capacity, and losing power for a while would be a massive headache.
If you’ve got the freezer set to below zero it will be good for 48 hours if you lose power and keep it shut. But yeah fridge would be a bitch and last thing I want to do now given the circumstances is go to the grocery store unnecessarily
Exactly. Getting sick of land meat. Might call around next week and plan weekly grocery trip around if I can find them
Fish Market's....errr...fish market should be open. Not sure what they have. Like you, no idea what might be around.
I bought Murder Points from Fish Market several weeks ago. Oysters were pretty good, every one had a crab inside. German cockroach crawling across the display glass didn’t really stoke the appetite. Place needs to shutdown for a few days and get a deep clean. Now seems like a good time.
“ And if you toss that crab aside, you’ll miss out on a sweet, crunchy treat. Edible raw or cooked, they deserve better than a flick into obscurity. “A lot of the industry guys eat them,” Jacobsen says. So, once, did such gourmands as George Washington, who reportedly liked them sprinkled over his oyster soup. An oft-cited 1907 New York Times article dubbed the crustacean a marine delicacy, opining that each one has “all the sweetness and delicate salt flavors of the entire crab family concentrated in its tiny body.” https://gardenandgun.com/articles/southern-secret-the-pea-crab/
If I had never seen that article I would’ve been pissed about finding a crab in my oyster. Also did you ask about royal reds?
