Y’all are talking about the same thing. Have y’all heard the commercial on WJOX for some type of pancreatic condition that apparently causes bad gas and explosive diarrhea? The ad has sound bites of ridiculous farts playing throughout. I hear it once a day it seems like. Always cracks me up.
Friend of mine plays in the kitchen pass. I was with my FIL and some other middle aged men run by Ward R. Thought it was different but maybe not

I stand corrected. There’s a dogfight in the morning with young guys and assumed that’s who you were with. My bad.
You're the man. Funnily enough, I finally got it all to dry out by overloading it with cat litter. Still hadn't gotten rid of some of it, but some of it may or may not have gone in the trash on Monday. Time to hit up our buddy with a shiny new white truck to help me transport all this paint.
He'll love that. Just tell him it reminds you of Kevin Costner's truck and he'll do anything you ask.
That thing doesn’t specifically say gasoline, but you think they will take some old gasoline cans? I see motor oil...
I'd throw gas cans in the trash. Also, if they're serviceable, try to sell them. The hell that is modern gas cans has led me to buy a few old tin ones. I'm pretty sure there's less emissions by the time you figure in the fact that the new eco ones break constantly.
i forgot to take my recycling down to the street and with the move i have a ton of boxes i need to get rid of. where can i take it? i'm in vestavia.
Just put them out there next week. Or, there’s a dumpster behind the apartments next to Pizitz Middle. You could dump them in there and nobody would say anything.
lol yeah i am considering dumpster searching. that may be the play. just wasn't sure if there was a recycling facility close by.
I've got three (possibly four) free tickets to the Legion opener tonight if anyone wants them. Must be willing to meet alone in Eastwood Wal-Mart parking lot for physical exchange of tickets. Game starts at 7:00, sold out @ 50% capacity, game will be on ESPN 2. Strict social distancing measures are in place etc... Spoiler: Spoiler tickets are digital don't have to meet up, but you may have to sit in my general vicinity should I decide to attend solo
Strong first half. Could be an exciting season for Legion if we play like this. Got Timmy Howard regretting his decision to play for Memphis.
So, I've been having common cold symptoms along with a somewhat sore throat and glands (that usually doesn't happen for me with colds/sinus infections). I went for a short walk last night and seemed to have a little more difficulty breathing than usual. I'm wondering if I should get a COVID test. I was on hold for 30 minutes with UAB's downtown site only to find they have no available appointments until next Friday... Other ideas? I was supposed to go out of town on Sunday, so ideally I'd like to get results back in a day or two. The urgent cares in Eastwood/Crestline apparently are the slow tests, etc. Thoughts?
My wife went to the American Family Care in Hoover to get a rapid test. She waited in her car for 3-4 hours to get tested, was tested around 4pm that day, and had the results the following morning. No idea re: type of test or accuracy, though.
Other weird thing was that I woke up in the middle of the night last night, heart racing. Got right back to sleep after taking some deep breaths, but that was weird.
Urgent Care for Children in Trussville was testing without appointments or referrals. Adults as well. Called and set up an appointment, pulled car around back and parked, they came out to the car in 10-20 minutes and did the nasal swab, got results in 48 hours. But this was in May so it might've changed.
We had my son tested there as well pretty quickly. That is an underrated place in general for child healthcare on the weekends. I much prefer going there rather than Children's.
The lady who did my wife's test was gentle and it didn't even bother my wife (who is admittedly very soft when it comes to that sort of thing). The lady who did mine was not as gentle. Left there with my sinuses going wild for the next 3-5 minutes.
ramszoolander If your test comes back positive any idea where you might have picked it up? A few spots around us have had to shut down randomly for deep cleans/employees testing positive so it’s definitely here. cc: Barves2125 wife
I really have no idea. I always mask indoors/at work. I've only been home/work/store/in-laws in the last week.
Oh it's 100% here and has been for months. If my wife got it after being as safe as she was (and still is) then there's no doubt it's genuinely everywhere. Some people just seem to be getting lucky that they're avoiding it somehow or their immune systems are just dominating.
Also very possible this is just a sinus infection, but the middle-of-the-night heartbeat and glands stuff isn't usually something I get with those.
My wife's heartbeat was irregular as hell but that could've been anxiety driven so not directly related to COVID19. Didn't have any sinus or gland issues really. Ruthless migraines though.
I’ve had throat irritation and minor congestion for a couple of weeks but it’s more in line with allergies than covid. A common theme I’ve heard is low grade fever associated with it (99-101) for people I know in Birmingham that have it/had it
If it's the Cahaba Village one (and a rapid test), they don't have a free appointment time UNTIL JULY 28. Crazy.
Went the Urgent Care for Children route because I got some info that the other (non-rapid) test sites were significantly behind. This will be 2-3 business days, but that's not bad. I was there five minutes early, out 20min later. UAB is apparently getting low on tests, too, which isn't great.
anybody know of a place serving drinks outside close to downtown? We have avoided going out except for places where we can sit outside and the waiters act like they give a shit. We went to Slice a few months ago and the waiter wasn't wearing a mask and was complaining about the lockdown in general.
While it's not downtown, I was picking up food from Rojo the other night and it seemed to be taking it seriously.
I long for a Saturday of being able to post up at Otey's or Saw's, watch football all day, sample a variety of unhealthy but delicious bar food at different points in the afternoon and evening, and then head home around bedtime.
