It looks like Bistro 218 has availability tonight. I'd also try calling Cafe Dupont and Galley & Garden. If you don't mind going to Cahaba Heights, Satterfield's is also an off-the-beaten-path fine dining spot.
thanks and I hope she's doing well. i actually moved downtown from tuscaloosa earlier this year to have some semblance of a community outside of weekends at Icon. there's not a huge community but we do our best to look out for each other. i've gotta imagine it was a lot more dire in 2017 tho. appreciate the 218 rec, i think that's where me and the bestie will wind up. it's only a few blocks to walk get a Lyft so that's nice

Highlands CC is cool and has it's place. Awesome greens, fun layout. Mountaintop has the GOAT halfway houses and a great place to drink beers with your buddies. Wade is an awesome proper course with caddies. High Hampton is supposedly sick but I haven't played it yet. My 2 buddies are running it so I need to get up there soon.

Thinking about redoing my kitchen and bathrooms and I have very little idea of where to start. The kitchen work is fairly straightforward IMO (painting cabinets, updating appliances, replacing tile backsplash, etc.), but the bathrooms will probably be a bit more labor intensive (getting rid of/glazing old ass colored tile from the 50s, updating shower, and hopefully knocking down a wall to expand the master bath if feasible). Anyone have any recommendations for a reliable guy (preferably with a vision and some ideas) who'd be interested in coming by and giving a quote for one or both?
