I usually go to Mr. P's and get some Italian sausages for New Years but decided to give Armone a try.

Grabbed some from the Pig on Clairmont and they didn't disappoint. Just as good as Mr. P's.

They only sell them at Piggly Wiggilys.

 

anyone got mover recommendations? was thinking of just using two men and a truck but figured i'd check here first before settling on anything definitively

 

They are delicious and are a nice cheat code for pasta meat sauce if you take them out of the casing and mix with ground beef. Make a fantastic bolognese

Flemming Transfer is a family business on mom's side. They will be pricier than your two men and a truck route though

 

I'm not so sure about the cost side. If they quote you something at Flemming and it ends up being less time they don't charge you for the quote they charge you for whatever the time was. I came out something like $500 ahead on a 1500 job with them, so I tipped them $250

 

Went to Iron City's new years eve party and it was fucking incredible. In their restaurant area they had like 10-15 casino games setup with legit dealers. Playing for fake money but it was fun to be on a craps table for 2 hours.

Bettola is open on Resy. I like that place a lot and just went for NYE. The burrata appetizer is amazing, the bolognese and carbonara were fantastic.

speaking of--i went to that carrigan's in mtn brook a couple months ago and idk if it was just a bad night or something but it was pretty terrible. food was extremely subpar compared to OG location

 

I was hoping he would put an Otey's in Vestavia City Center just because Taco Mama over there seems to be doing really well. Homewood makes more sense though.
