Carson Fulmer pitching at Hoover Met tonight
Got Wilder tickets as well, we went with the $100 section.
it might support uab sports, so bama beware
At octane for the first time ever right now. Cool place with some decent talent on deck.
Same. Birthday as well
Anyone know what time the fight is? I might try to squeeze both in
I want to say the main event is around 9:30
Saw's chef plans to open new restaurant in Thomas Jefferson Tower
After going to the Hangout, think I'm staying put this weekend. Anything going on in Bham Friday night or Saturday?
What time would y'all get to the airport for a 530 am flight and no checked bags?
Carson Fulmer pitching in your city tonight
It is highly recommended you go and experience what might be the nastiest stuff outside MLB
It's your own plane so show up whenever, it will wait
Daddy is taking it this weekend. Have to fly with the plebeians instead. Is good people open at 5?
At that hour, you can get through security in 10 minutes max.
Longest I've ever waited in BHM security line is approx 8 min
Woooo. Need that shit. Didnt want to jinx it by posting earlier today
Anyone know what time SliceFest starts and ends? The schedule page on the website doesn't actually have a schedule.
i would guess from mid afternoon 3 to late evening 12
Am I the only one who wishes Birmingham brought back the Steeldogs instead of UAB?
Who all is going to the MCBF? I have tickets for Saturday.
I'd take the Birmingham Bulls over both and it's not really close.
I'll be there Friday. It is one of the best things that Birmingham does.
Agreed. Nothing on the beer list really gets me super excited but there is plenty of solid options. Looking forward to Avondale's new sour. Love their Wild Saison and Birminghambic
We're doing Brewfest Friday night and Slice Saturday.
Here's the slicefest schedule, finally.
I'm not sure what to take from that article.
Obviously, there is wealth inequality in this country. It's not something that is not endemic to the South.
Did the author choose Birmingham because of the Civil Rights movement, coupled with the fact that these ladies are African American?
We use a Mexican lady who has her own car, so my conscious is clear.
Tried Little Donkey last night. Was solid but nothing special. Look forward to trying other things besides the steak tacos in the future. Any recommendations?
I do not like little donkey's food at all. Always seems very bland/dry/tasteless to me. Cocktails are good though.
El Barrio and Babalu both blow it away imo.
Try the Drunken Hog sandwich
It sounded really good. Was actually my backup plan. A lot of their food and the various tacos specifically sounded great.
Villa Fiesta in Irondale and La Paz both have better composite ratings (between Google, Facebook, Yelp, and Urbanspoon) than Little Donkey. It is like a 3.6 whereas the other two are both 4.0.
best thing to come out of hmwd in the last 50 years is demetri's
and la paz and little donkey are apples and oranges imo
la paz caters to the brookie white haired crowd who likes spending 90$ on casual mexican, while little donkey attempts to be more modern and cater to millennials
Agreed. Wasn't really comparing them for folks in this thread so much as I was comparing them with Villa Fiesta for my dear friend Deuce .
Little Donkey has always been just okay to me.
that Bourbon Stormy though.....delicious.
Growing up, one of my (mountain brook) friend's family's maid literally drove an Escalade. Like a new-ish non-nigged-out one.
Friday. Was just looking at the list, and it's kinda disappointing. A few of the local breweries aren't doing anything too special. Cask garden is usually my favorite part. It's always a good time either way.
Not doing the cask garden. Other than that let me know your favorites.
Went to my first game at Regions Field last night. Awesome.
So damn many high school and college frat stars out there though not even watching the game.
Sounds just like when it was at the Met.
At least the overwhelming percentage of Hoover kids there is a little diluted now that it's downtown.
HEY.....HEY.....NONE OF THIS
Just drunkenly purchased my slicefest pass, feelsgoodman
Speaking of those Hoover fucks. I went to vecchia last night in Hoover and it had good pizza and a cool atmosphere. Not worth making the trip for but if you are over on that side of town it is a good option. Nice to see something original in a sea of chains.
I had to go to hoover for an expert inspection of a roof in a construction case a few weeks ago. The building is in one of the real Mexican-y parts of Hoover, and there's a big lot of them who wait in the corner of that shopping center to get picked up for jobs. When I pulled my truck into the parking lot, like five of them took off running to me yelling "trabajo?" I felt kind of bad turning them down.
