This is random as hell but does anybody know a place in town where I can just pick up a few squares of emerald zoysia sod (I just specify bc it seems to be a little harder to find than some other types)? Don't need a ton just doing some patch work. Not from here so I don't know any local nursery/landscape type places that might have it bc I don't think Lowe's or HD does. I realize now is not the time of year to try doing this but just wanted to ask before I forget for future reference.
I live in a loft downtown, the closest thing I have to grass is the fake putting green grass on the roof. I have no fucking clue.
Anyone had any luck renting a single family residence with a yard in the forest park, highlands, or mountain dale areas?
Have a few friends that just moved out of a rental home in Forest Park. Had a pretty small front yard but had a small fenced in backyard with a pool. Good rental homes do exist around there but they aren't usually easy to find from what I've gathered. They happened to know someone that owned it and now that individual is selling it.
house swim picked up 1.1 inches on the east side of town report form alwx The severe thunderstorm in the Birmingham Metro were over 50,000 feet tall, easily reaching the top of the troposphere. The red area in the image shows the highest cloud tops. They produced wind damage on Lawrence Street in Irondale, where a home collapsed when a tree fell on it, trapping five kids and one adult. --- i'll post NWS rain totals tmrw a.m. when updated. not gonna lie, that shit wasnt expected as the front washed out over the ten valley area causing most of the showers south of i-85. with us not supposed to get any real precipitation til late next week, this inch was a boon, forealz. double RL knows whats up. so does Merica with his dinky ass yard but bless his heart cause he tryin tho.

Anyone else go to the Houndmouth concert at The Saturn tonight? It was awesome. The female, Katie... Spoiler
I've seen Houndmouth 5 times. Probably my favorite band right now. Wanted to make it back up there for that but couldn't. My friends went and said it was fantastic though. Got to see them at Hangout so not too bummed.
Who's got the list of bars/restaurants? Trying to decide where we're going before the fight. wes tegg, can you include the list in the OP?
Yeah, that list is a little dated. I'm guessing an updated one was lost. Going to the fight with two other couples. One is neutral on where we pre and the other wants to go to Uptown, which I think kind of sucks. My suggestions were John's and El Barrio, which were vetoed for various reasons. Trying to offer other suggestions before going with the crowd to Mugshots :jerkit:
They keep taking all of my favorite burgers off the menu. First the Bronx Burger, then they started doing a burger of the day which were all great, then they quit that. Now I eat the West Virginian which is great but I'm sure they'll do away with that too. Still love it, good beer selection, good cocktails, good atmosphere and of course... games!
ICYMI: Deontay Wilder wanted to hold Ala's 1st HW title fight in Tuscaloosa, but there was a gymnastics camp. Really http://t.co/2kQuVCFcrI
Not a big country fan but Garth brought it last night. I saw the 2nd show and it didn't start until midnight. The line to get it sucked but was worth it once the music started. It's incredible that he can bring that kind of energy to two shows in one night.
I went. It was a lot of fun, but the beer situation was miserable. You had to get in line to get a wristband then get in line to get beer tickets then get in yet another line to exchange the beer tickets for beer
i went as well, lot of fun. predicted the crowd of a 1/3 frat guys, 1/3 brothers and 1/3 rednecks i think the problem with concessions was that everyone seemed to pour in at once around 7-730, lines were fine once the main fight started we snuck in whiskey but it took about 30 mins to get a coke, should have snuck that shit in too
Bought some Magic City themed art tonight at a charity silent auction. Aside from a Kirby Smart 4th quarter backside blitz or a beautiful Skynyrd verse, I don't know much about art but I really like the purchase I made tonight.
I've bought one piece of art, I know nothing about art but I still love the one piece I've bought, complete impulse purchase
A photo of my purchase. Pretty pleased with it. I know dumpbutt will like that Dr. Pepper in the bottom.
Case of Mountain Brook woman charged with hitting construction worker while DUI goes to grand jury PrintEmail A grand jury will review the case of a Mountain Brook woman charged with assault and leaving the scene of an accident after striking a construction worker in February with her SUV. Jefferson County District Court Judge Katrina Ross sent the case to the grand jury last week after an attorney for 26-year-old Amanda Brown waived a preliminary hearing, which had been set for Tuesday, in the case. Brown is charged with first-degree assault, a felony, and misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident without rendering aid in the Feb. 25 crash that severely injured Bobby Joe Smith, 48, of Munford, known to his friends as Rusty. Smith was injured whenBrown hit him in her GMC Yukon while on her way home from a wedding with friends, pinning Smith between her SUV's bumper and a bulldozer, police said. The crash happened in the 2600 block of Lane Park Road. Smith lost his right foot, and was in danger of losing his left leg after the crash. Witnesses told officers that after the wreck, Brown attempted to drive away. She then got out of the vehicle and walked to her apartment which wasn't too far from the accident scene. She admitted to police that she was under the influence when the crash happened, police said. Brown is out on bond pending disposition of her case.
